Exploring Life & Business with Julia Rodgers of HelloPrenup, Inc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julia Rodgers

Hi Julia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
HelloPrenup started as a passion project for everyone on our founding team. As a family law attorney, I saw so many couples struggle with the process of creating a prenuptial agreement—it was expensive, time-consuming, and often brought unnecessary stress into what should be an exciting time in their lives. I knew there had to be a better way.

The idea of HelloPrenup was born out of a desire to democratize the prenup process and make it more accessible to modern couples. Together with my founding team, we created an online platform that allowed couples to draft their own prenuptial agreements affordably and on their own terms. It was a way to bring transparency and ease to what had traditionally been a complex, uncomfortable experience.

Since launching, we’ve helped countless couples navigate conversations around finances and future planning in a collaborative, empowering way. The platform has grown substantially over the last three years, as has our team. We’ve had the privilege of protecting thousands of couples and billions in assets. Our goal remains the same: to reshape the narrative around prenups and show couples that these agreements are not about planning for failure, but rather setting themselves up for success.

It’s been an incredible journey, and we are proud of what HelloPrenup has become—a trusted resource for couples who want to enter marriage with clarity and confidence.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to building HelloPrenup has not always been smooth—like any startup journey, our journey been filled with learning moments. One of the biggest struggles early on was the skepticism around prenuptial agreements themselves. There’s still a lot of stigma surrounding prenups, with many people thinking they’re only for the ultra-wealthy or assuming that they’re a sign of mistrust in a relationship. Overcoming that misconception and educating people on how a prenup can actually strengthen a relationship has been an ongoing challenge.

On the technical side, creating a platform that balances ease of use with legal accuracy was no small feat. The process of building a legal tech tool that could deliver a seamless experience to couples, while ensuring that the agreements met legal standards in different states, took a lot of trial and error. It involved collaborating with family law attorneys across the country and adapting to the nuances of state laws, which can be tricky.

But through all these challenges, the mission has always kept us going. Seeing how we’ve been able to help couples have important conversations about their future and bring more transparency to marriage planning has made every obstacle worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about HelloPrenup, Inc. ?
HelloPrenup is an online platform that simplifies and modernizes the prenuptial agreement process for couples. We specialize in making prenups accessible, affordable, and collaborative, giving couples the ability to create their own legally sound agreements from the comfort of their home. What sets us apart from others is that we’ve removed the need for expensive, lengthy negotiations with multiple attorneys, streamlining the process while still ensuring that the prenups are legally enforceable with available attorney services.

We’re known for our user-friendly platform that guides couples step-by-step, offering prompts and explanations along the way to help navigate important topics like finances, assets, and future plans. What truly makes us unique is our focus on empowering couples to have open, honest conversations about their financial future—our goal is to remove the stigma around prenups and show that they’re a smart, proactive step for any couple, regardless of their financial status.

Brand-wise, we’re most proud of shifting the narrative around prenups from something stressful or awkward to something empowering. We believe that a prenuptial agreement is not about anticipating failure but about building a foundation of trust and communication in marriage.

For readers who are unfamiliar with HelloPrenup, we want them to know that we are here to make an often complex and uncomfortable process much easier. Our platform is affordable, transparent, and designed to help couples protect their assets and outline their financial expectations in a clear, collaborative way. Whether it’s protecting assets, clarifying financial responsibilities, or planning for the future, HelloPrenup is here to support couples every step of the way.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success at HelloPrenup is about more than just numbers or growth—it’s about making a meaningful impact on how couples approach marriage and financial planning. I define success by how many couples we can help feel more secure and confident in their relationship by using our platform. When couples tell us that HelloPrenup made difficult conversations easier, or that they feel more aligned with their partner after creating a prenup, that’s the ultimate win.

Success also means breaking down the stigma surrounding prenuptial agreements. If we can change the narrative from prenups being seen as a negative or unromantic step to one that’s seen as empowering and practical, then we’re achieving our mission. It’s about helping people realize that planning for the future together doesn’t undermine their relationship, but rather strengthens it.

On a larger scale, success for HelloPrenup means becoming the go-to resource for couples who want to proactively manage their financial future—making prenups a normal, accessible part of relationship planning for all couples, not just the wealthy. Ultimately, success is defined by how well we serve couples, helping them protect their assets, clarify their financial expectations, and create stronger foundations for their marriages.
