Hidden Gems: Meet Jeff The Ice Cream Guy of Hidden Oak Gourmet Creamery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff The Ice Cream Guy

Hi Jeff, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
For 25 years, I honed my expertise in the hospitality industry, starting as a Director of Food & Beverage and eventually becoming the COO of my own management company, overseeing the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. In 2013, I began making ice cream as a hobby, sharing it with family and friends. When I created my Strawberry Basil flavor, it was clear I had crafted something special, worth sharing with a wider audience. By 2022, I turned that passion into a business, ordering my first ice cream machine and launching my venture to produce artisanal ice cream made from scratch.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I just celebrated the two year anniversary of opening my ice cream business. There have been many highs and lows along the way. The most important thing is to keep going! When the money isn’t coming in, I have to trust in the product!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our brand creates Homemade Ice cream in craveable flavors. We create everything from scratch, and that allows us to make culinary creations that are not found on the shelves of your local grocery store. To have Rosemary steeped into the ice cream, rippled with a rich homemade chocolate ganache delivers a flavor that is unmatched!

We are known for our Strawberry Basil, our Lavender Blueberry, and the quality and texture of our ice cream.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We were recently featured in Millcreek city Lifestyle magazine. https://citylifestyle.com/articles/for-the-love-of-ice-cream. This is a good resource if there is something I missed out on.

Pricing:

  • Pint of Ice Cream $10,50 direct from me
  • Retail Pint of Ice Cream is $9-$14
  • A cone at one of our pop ups is $6
