Today we’d like to introduce you to Chayse Robinson
Hi Chayse, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started cosmetology school when I was 16 and a junior in high school! It was definitely hard to balance everything I was doing, but so rewarding to have my cosmetology license before graduating high school. My mom is a hairstylist and my whole life I’ve always looked up to her! She has been one of my biggest inspirations in my career! After I graduated cosmetology school in Texas, I moved to Utah where I assisted Meg Robertson for a year and a half! I have Meg to thank for getting me where I am today! Now, I am my own boss and work for myself at only 20!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road, just like any other job you can get really burnt out and second guess your choice. Especially when I was in school, there were multiple times where I didn’t want to continue to pursue becoming a hair stylist but it’s all about perspective and how you handle hard things.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in brunettes and hair heath! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good blending session, but I love the creativity I feel when doing a brunette! I am most proud of how hard I’ve worked to get where I am today! Lots of mistakes made, but you can only learn from them and continue to grow. I feel like I am set apart from other stylists because I feel like there’s not many brunette specialists!
