Community Highlights: Meet Carol And Wendy Turcios of Serenity Family Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol And Wendy Turcios

Hi Carol and Wendy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We are two immigrant sisters, we are from Honduras. We always liked business. Upon arriving in a new country with so many opportunities, we thought of something we could undertake together. My parents always come to visit and our mother’s favorite place was always to go to Menchie’s! She loves frozen yogurt.
That is how our dream came true of having a frozen yogurt store was born.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course.
First barrier was the language. Even though we are bilingual, Spanish is our first language.
The rest of the struggles are part of the journey!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
This is our first year with a business like Menchie’s >
As an Educator and Psychologist we have own Childcare Center, Tutoring Center and also an online store call Eat clean.
We have always been surrounded by businesses from our parent’s or husbands.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
We love risks and our personality is all about challenges. We are Christians that believe God is the one that help us on our path to grow on earth.
