Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Vigil
Hi Jennifer, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve had a passion for photography since middle school when I joined a photography contest. That’s when I realized how much I loved capturing not just the beauty of nature but also people—their memories, their milestones, and the moments that matter. I wanted to learn more, so I took a few semesters at Kauai Community College to deepen my skills.
But life had other plans—I was a single mother of three amazing boys, and I had to put my passion aside while I focused on getting them through school. Years later, when COVID happened, I found myself picking up my camera again. I started doing portraits and milestone photography for friends and family, and before I knew it, my business began to grow. What started as something I loved turned into something bigger—a way to connect with people, tell their stories, and turn moments into lasting memories. Now, I get to do what I love while also inspiring others to follow their passions, no matter the detours life brings.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was being a single mother of three while also being the sole provider for my family. Everything fell on my shoulders—making ends meet, ensuring my kids had what they needed, and putting my own dreams on hold so I could focus on them. There were times when it felt overwhelming, but I kept pushing forward, knowing that one day I’d be able to return to my passion. Finding the balance between responsibilities and chasing my dreams wasn’t easy, but it shaped me into the person I am today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is all about storytelling, creativity, and connection. As a photographer, videographer, and business owner, I capture life’s most meaningful moments—whether it’s portraits, milestone celebrations, Quinceanera’s, or travel photography. Through Inspiring Vibes Photography, I get to help people preserve memories that they can cherish forever.
Photography isn’t just about taking pictures for me—it’s about capturing emotions, telling a story, and creating something that truly means something to the people I work with. Whether it’s a family milestone, a special event, or the beauty of a new destination, I love being able to bring those moments to life.
Travel photography, through Inspiring Vibes Travels, has also been a huge part of my journey. Being able to explore different places and share those experiences with others is something I’m really passionate about. I want my work to inspire people—to encourage them to explore, embrace life’s moments, and see the world through a new perspective.
Building my business hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve stayed true to my passion. For me, this is more than just a career—it’s something I love, and I’m grateful every day that I get to do what I do.
