Caleb Taker shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Caleb, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity. Being trustworthy and acting in alignment with your values, even when unobserved is crucial if you want a peaceful life.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Raised in Fort Myers, Florida, I discovered my passion for music at an early age. These early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong connection to music and storytelling where I began writing my own lyrics, inspired by the music I would spend hours listening to on the radio. I immersed myself in the craft recording in studios across the country, collaborating with talented artists, vocal coaches, videographers, and engineers, and building a network of creatives who have shaped my journey.
Today, I carry a mission: to create music that resonates on a deep emotional level, offering comfort, connection, and release to listeners.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with God. He’s my Father in heaven who will never leave my side. Even when I didn’t deserve it, He’s always been there. I wouldn’t be where I am today without Him and I wake up everyday and thank Him for my life. I turn to Him for everything.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Almost every one of my songs have been written from pain I’ve experienced or a feeling I’ve hid or didn’t know how to express. Music gave me an outlet to express those emotions and that’s why it’s so personal for me.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
I like this question because I’ve been spending time recently making sure it is. Hiding who I am or pretending to be someone else to fit in or to be liked is not me.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I was a good Dad. That I stayed true to my faith. That I loved deep and made great music.
