Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexa Rose.
Hi Alexa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We are Staci Pulham and Alexa Rose, owners of The Stella Rose Salon and Hair Co in the heart of Spanish for Utah. We both started in the industry with a shared love for creativity and making people feel confident! When brought this opportunity of opening a salon in 2022, we wanted to create a place that felt professional and personal, where clients could relax and enjoy their service and stylists and techs could thrive.
We officially opened in June 2022 and have been loving it ever since. We work very well together and our weaknesses is the other ones strengths! We have the same goal of being successful business owners as well as some pretty cool moms! It definitely wasn’t easy, there are always challenges, long nights and plenty of lessons learned but we have always stayed focused on the vision and always want to do and be better!
Proud of our space is an understatement! We have built a space that reflects who we are and we hope our clients and our Stella Rose girls feel amazing every time they walk in.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always struggles when doing something new, and for us this was all very brand new besides the doing hair part! We had to teach ourselves how to open a business from scratch, not to mention taking the interior down to the bones and building it back up! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing support team and our handy man husbands!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We both specialize in extensions. After several classes and courses taken, we finally perfected our own methods to use on our clients, We also spent multiple years trial and erroring different hair manufacturers to find the perfect, custom hair blend to create our own hair extension line, The Stella Rose Hair Co.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
We think the most important lesson we have learned is how to stay resilient and disciplined throughout the harder times we’ve had in the last 3 years. We both welcomed two new additions do our families, life changes and challenges as well as health journeys. The awesome thing was that as business partners, we don’t have to ask each other to pick up the slack if someone is falling behind or needs a break. We just naturally do it for each other and thats why we work so well together.
