Check Out Allysah Durrant’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allysah Durrant.

Hi Allysah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I gained a love of all things cameras at the age of 15. I began working as a photographer for family and friends as soon as I could. Using my parent’s camera, I learned the basics of creating beautiful images. After a short time, I had earned enough money from my fast-food job to buy my very first camera. It has now been 6 years and I am even more excited every day to continue pursuing my passion. I specialize in photography, videography, and design in the St. George, Utah area.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to success has not always been easy. I have faced many challenges, but my love for helping others capture special memories helped me push through. It took me years to find paying photography jobs and build my portfolio, but it was extremely worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am experienced in photography, videography, and design. My true passion began with photos, but I have more recently gained a love for wedding and event videography. I feel so fulfilled as I help families capture memories to keep forever. I believe that I am different from others because I want to be a friend to my clients. I hope to gain lasting relationships with the amazing families I work with. I want to help their events, special days, and family photos become memorable events they can cherish forever.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I have been lucky because the people I am surrounded by and work with are amazing. I have gained many great friendships doing what I love.
