Today we’d like to introduce you to Humo Maya.
Hi Humo, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
The Cosmic 3DUV portal started in New York as a creative collaboration of UV visionary artists: Humo Maya (myself) and Myztico Campo; Myztico had been painting in NY more quite sometime when he met me at an art gallery event in Brooklyn, he was playing music on the stage and my friend introduced us, we became good friends as we had very similar perception about the multidimensional universe, visionary art, music, and reality in general, he liked my art, and tattoo work so he started inviting me to participate in the events where he was painting for, and I started painting live as well, we had something which most people had never seen before which was our visionary art in UV, plus with these special glasses the art could be seen in glowing 3D, people started approaching us and asking us if we could paint them similarly to our paintings, so we did, and ever since we’ve doing this at many other events in NYC and everywhere else we travel to.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been pretty good and smooth, we always have the most fun painting people and painting live at these events, not many struggles that I can think of, but if I had to pinpoint some aspect of the challenges I would say getting to be respected as a artist could take some time, for people to believe in your work, but once people feel the connection with the art and their spirit, everything else flows very well, and people just take your art in and embrace you and your art as a part of themselves.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Our work consist on live painting and body painting at many different events but mostly Burning Man related events in NYC, we do that with UV paints that allow us to create paintings that can be seen in 3D, although we’re both multidimensional artists that also play music in bands, and even make movies, I personally am a Tattoo Artist, and drummer as well, people know our work in all the different art forms that we create, we are very content with what we do and are always trying to take it to the next level in terms of creating bigger and better projects that will allow the observer to be fully immersed in the mind opening and high vibrational art we create.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Some memories I’m the most fond of from childhood are art related, like the first time my dad taught me my first song in a guitar, or the first time I drew on my entire arm with a pen, or my brother tattooing my arm at age 14 when he was 16, all memories that are art related are very embedded in my soul as beautiful treasures.
