Hi Hunter, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey in the nail industry began with a deep passion for delivering the highest quality nail care possible. After three years of hands-on experience as a nail technician, I took a leap of faith and opened my own salon—and it’s been an incredible ride ever since. Serving the people and visitors of Salt Lake City has been such a joy, and I’m proud of the unique space we’ve created.
At The Pink Bubble, we’re committed to redefining what clean, elevated nail care looks like. We’re constantly researching and testing the best nail and spa care brands that align with our mission—products that are not only effective but made with clean, non-toxic ingredients. We’ve recently taken major steps in offering the safest gels, builder gels, hard gels, and spa products to ensure our guests experience luxury without compromise.
What truly drives me is knowing we’re setting a new standard in the industry—one that prioritizes both technician health and client wellbeing. I hope to inspire the next wave of salon owners to adopt the same mindset: that beauty and safety should go hand in hand. As we approach our two-year anniversary this May, my incredible team and I are more excited than ever to keep leading with heart, intention, and innovation.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not a smooth road–from navigating the dynamics of hiring friends, to learning how to be a strong leader without losing myself, to facing a wave of public feedback during a time of personal growth—I’ve had to develop a thick skin while keeping my heart in the game.

I’m the founder and creative behind The Pink Bubble—a nail salon and sanctuary built on the belief that beauty should never come at the cost of wellness. I specialize in elevated, clean nail care that prioritizes both the aesthetic and the integrity of the natural nail. We focus heavily on product education, and we’re known for using high-quality, non-toxic gels, hard gels, and spa treatments that support long-term nail health.
What sets my work apart is the deep intention behind every detail—our product choices, our music curation, our hospitality, even our air quality. I’m constantly refining the experience to make sure every guest feels safe, seen, and pampered.
I’m most proud of the standard we’ve created in Salt Lake City—not just in terms of style, but in care. We’ve become known for setting a higher bar in the industry, especially when it comes to clean beauty. Launching our in-house wellness product line, The Pink Standard, has also been a proud moment. It’s my way of expanding that same care beyond the salon and into people’s everyday lives.
More than anything, I want to lead by example. I want young creatives to see that you can build something beautiful, intentional, and profitable, even if you start small, even if you’re only 21.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest piece of advice for anyone just starting out is this: stay grounded in your vision, but flexible in how you get there. Things won’t always go according to plan—and that’s okay. What matters most is that you stay aligned with your values and learn to adapt without losing your sense of purpose.
I wish someone had told me that leadership is less about having all the answers and more about how you show up when things go wrong. It’s okay to grow publicly. It’s okay to change your mind. And it’s okay to make mistakes—just don’t stop evolving.
Also, protect your peace. Not everyone will understand your vision, and not everyone deserves a front-row seat to your journey. Focus on what you want to build and who you want to become in the process.
