Check Out Jess Brown’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jess Brown.

Hi Jess, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Prior to having kids, I worked in a Residential Treatment Center for girls aged 12-18, as a therapist. I loved my time there and I learned so much from working with the girls and their families. When I decided to leave and be home with my first babe I had the vision to offer something for our community that included a whole wellness approach.

Fast forward to after I had my second child, I learned about BIRTHFIT and went through the intentional process to bring it to my community! I had a newfound vision and plan for the birth of my last baby as I was growing BIRTHFIT locally. I created a birth team, I was strong in mind, body, and spirit. My last birth was the most empowering experience of my life. My experience and education allow me to support families through the motherhood transition.

While working as an individual, group, and family therapist I was able to experience the beauty of helping others through life’s challenges. BIRTHFIT allows me to combine my passion for health and wellness with my desire to educate and empower others to be their best self through transformation.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Growth always has ups and downs, and for that I am grateful. The biggest challenges while growing my business have made me stronger. I am grateful for all the support I have had along the way, especially from my husband, other community birth workers and Brad Thorne with Cache Valley Strength and Conditioning.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
