Check Out Jess Poulsen’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jess Poulsen.

Hi Jess, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a child, I regularly attended this cute wellness center on Main with my hippie grandmother! I felt so intrigued by a business solely dedicated to healing, health, and respite. I remember thinking that, of all jobs in this world, that it would feel so rewarding to be someone’s restoration space in a world committed to distracting us from our own maintenance. This place had energy work, ear candling, massage, all things wellness! It felt so good to be in the presence of people EXACTLY like the human I loved most in the world, my grandma! 💚

Then in 2015, I met Lindsay Ransom from @indigo.midwifery and together, we formed Full Circle! At the time it was a birth-based wellness business but we had high hopes of a physical location that encompassed all things health and wellness! Our dreams were big! Then a year later our wonderful Lindsay decided to finish pursuing her dreams of becoming a Midwife and moved to Arizona and our center was shortly postponed until 2019 when I felt brave enough to move forward without Lindsay who was my powerful anchor and business security blanket. Then our Full Circle Wellness Center was born! 🌱

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
7 months after opening our doors, COVID hit. As a business that primarily operates face-to-face but isn’t considered essential by many, we took a significant hit! Our classes, gatherings, and support circles took the biggest hit leaving us with an empty classroom for almost two years. We are slowly but surely recovering, but it’s been a long road! Our classroom also offers space for many nonprofits and marginalized communities who have also suffered from the lack of community. We are currently in the process of rebuilding many of these community gatherings!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Full Circle Wellness Center is Brigham City’s hub for wellness professionals. We strive to offer a wide variety of products and services from local professionals to bring a space of healing and wellness to our community.

Here at Full Circle, it’s our mission to create a healthy and healing environment for wellness practitioners to conduct their business. We believe that the energy we surround ourselves with will flow out into the work we do. We believe that the energy we pour into this center will come back to us full circle in the form of satisfied clients and customers.

Full Circle Wellness Center is also a big advocate for inclusivity and social justice. We strive to hold space for marginalized groups that may not have space in our community. We believe that every human deserves to have a safe and supportive space and we work to hard to create that for those in need. We work closely with many local non-profit organizations to create support groups and classes to present to our community. We believe that companies should be giving back to their communities just as much as they are benefiting.

We live (and work) by a strong value system and it’s important to us that we bring these values front and center in the business we conduct.

Some of our core values here at Full Circle are:
Inclusivity
Integrity
Expertise
Family Centered
Knowledgeable
Progressive
Advocacy
Solidarity

It’s our vision and goal to leave our community better than we found it. We vow to always be improving ourselves and our business to adapt to the needs of our community.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My biggest advice is the be authentic to yourself! That energy that is true to you will attract those who are meant to hear your message and participate in your business. Not every customer/client is meant for you and that’s ok! The ones who need you need the REAL you! Your authentic self is needed in your craft!
