Hi Steven , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our story is based on family — many of us initially come from Asia. My name is Steven Tran, and my uncle and I noticed that there were not as many nail salons in Wasatch County. My Uncle Jason and I saw the growth in Wasatch County. We knew we wanted to provide a service that would make people feel appreciated, noticed, and happy, impacting both the local community and the surrounding area. Today, we have two stores in Wasatch County and one in Summit County that operate 7 days a week, offering services like nail art, acrylics, gel polish, lavish manicures, and pedicures. We take pride in providing an online booking platform for guests, but we also always have a manager available to answer the phone for clients who want to book a service. What many say is unique about our stores is the cleanliness, attention to detail, and artist’s design. We pride ourselves on treating our guests like family by calling them by their first names.
We do our best to accommodate walk-in clients, and also offer refreshing treats, reads, and drinks for our valued guests. We do this because we feel that nail art is a beautiful journey that creates happiness and delight. It should not feel rushed, allowing guests to experience something extraordinary when they leave. Many of our nail techs are family members. So the concept of family is essential to our business and culture. We understand that nail trends are constantly changing, and we want to provide our clients with safer and healthier options. For example, we are now offering Dazzle Dry Polish. Over 85% of our clients who are locals of Utah come back to visit us regularly. We are proud to be offering our talents, services, and experiences to the local community. We have a passion for helping and a desire to provide something unique for Utah residents and guests visiting the lovely area. We are grateful for our family business and our loyal clients.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, it has not always been smooth sailing.

We all commute for about 45 minutes or more to get to work.
We operate 7 days a week, unlike other nail shops.
To pass a business inspection in this industry, you must have VERY high attention to detail.
Working in this industry can be tiring, just like opening a restaurant; you have to work hard (it can be hard on the body). If you look at Starbucks and how it started, it went from 5 stores to 11 at one point. We are not going to be Starbucks, but we strive to be a local brand with multiple locations, offering excellent services at each store and ensuring each area has a different vibe.

Coming to the US. My uncle Jason played a massive part in that process.
Jason lives in Florida, but taught us the business fundamentals to make us thrive in the Utah area.
