Today we’d like to introduce you to Sydney Skelton.
Hi Sydney, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
MobileHBOT was born from a calling — not an idea, not a business plan, but *three identical dreams* from God. In each dream, the message was simple and unmistakable: **“Help people. Bring healing to their doorstep.”**
So we listened. And we acted.
With nothing but faith, a Sprinter van, and the scripture **Hebrews 13:1–2** written on our hearts (“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers…”), we began delivering hyperbaric oxygen therapy directly to people in need. There was no screening for income, no hoops to jump through — just compassion. If someone needed help, we showed up.
Since then, God has allowed this little seed-of-faith idea to grow into something much bigger than we ever imagined.
We’ve now supported **over 200 families** with **no financial obligation**, providing hope and healing during some of the hardest seasons of their lives.
As the need grew, our model evolved. Instead of driving the chamber to a home for a single session, we now **deliver the entire machine for 30 days**, giving families the freedom to heal on their own schedule, in their own space, with dignity and peace.
MobileHBOT is — and always will be — a faith-led mission.
We exist to serve, to uplift, and to bring hyperbaric healing to those who would otherwise go without. Every chamber delivered is a reminder of where we started: a dream, a verse, and the belief that when God sends you, you go.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of our biggest ongoing challenges is simply **needing more chambers**. The demand is far greater than the number of machines we currently have, and we are continually fundraising so we can keep bringing chambers to families who need them — especially those who cannot afford care.
Another major challenge we faced was losing our entire social media presence. For a long time, our videos were consistently reaching **5 million+ views**, which helped families all over the country find us. Then our account was hacked and deleted, and we had to rebuild completely from scratch.
Because of that, we now function almost entirely through **word of mouth**, which has honestly become one of our greatest blessings. Families connect us with other families, churches, and communities, and that personal referral network has kept this mission alive and growing despite the obstacles.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Traditional Naturopath, and I work remotely for Red River Wellness through the Boise office. Working remotely has been such a blessing — it allows our family to spend time in Utah while also living part-time in Tampa, giving us the flexibility and simple lifestyle we love.
My husband works for General RV selling RVs, and together we live full-time in our 5th wheel with our beautiful 2-year-old daughter. We’re praying God will bless us with more children.
Before my career in wellness, I was an athlete at the University of Utah. I swam for one year and then finished my collegiate career running cross country and track. I also love to travel — I’ve been to 41 countries and have climbed peaks around the world, including in Russia, Nepal, South America, and Patagonia.
But even with all of those experiences, my greatest accomplishment — without question — is being a wife and a mom. I’ve never been happier in my life. It is the biggest blessing God has ever given me, and it’s what I’m most proud of.
How do you define success?
Through my faith, I’ve learned that success has nothing to do with financial wealth, material possessions, or climbing any kind of ladder. True success is much deeper than that.
For me, success is **knowing God, loving your neighbor, and living in a way that reflects His light**. It’s choosing to serve, to uplift, and to honor Him in everything you do. When my life points back to Him — that is real success.
