Today we’d like to introduce you to Tianna Evertsen.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
From an early age, I knew I wanted to do big things and knew that my mission on earth was no small one on my shoulders. At an early time in my life, I found myself with complete organ failure and was placed into a coma. When I woke up from what seemed like a dream, I had experienced looking over the course of my life and the possibilities and experiences I would have with my maker. I from that powerful experience forward committed to a life of greatness and one that was lived to the absolute fullness.
I started my entrepreneurial journey at a young age by it being a curiosity of how the world worked with the belief that anything was possible. When you choose to view the world through this perspective, truly anything is possible. When your vision is clear you can be unstoppable.
My first “business” was when I was a small child in the below-freezing winters in Montana. While most kids my age set up a lemonade stand, I knew that my business needed to adjust to the specific conditions and needs of the area. In its winters there would be below-freezing temperatures and on average 80 inches of snow. What did I do? I started a hot chocolate stand serving the best hot chocolate in the city from my street corner. This not only taught me the emotional resilience against the elements to pursue my business venture, it allowed me to experience the appreciation/value/ of hard work. I set a goal at the beginning of my sales to save a certain amount and I reached that goal. I was able to purchase something I had really wanted. That was the beginning of many greater pursuits that gave me the confidence I needed and it all started there.
I moved on to train horses as a teenager loving horses. I networked with people in the community who owned horses and jumped at any opportunity to work with horses from small jobs to exercise riding for owners for free to gain experience and add value to horse owners. This also gave me valuable experience with horses for exchange of my time. I spent every hour that was not in school or studies to learn everything I could about horses. There are so many principles and lessons about hard work that can be learned from working with horses. I learned that hard work pays off. We learn to be flexible, be present, be self-aware and aware of things and people around us, be authentic, and to be honest with ourself and with others around us. It teaches you how to be kind, well-rounded individuals, who are aware of how their actions affect others, and who aren’t afraid of hard work.
These skills learned from these horse experience opened doors to work with horses in many incredible places around the world including Alaska, Italy, Montana, Texas, Arizona, Utah, and Idaho. It is my long-term goal to open an Equestrian Wellness Center that will offer horse-integrated wellness practices such as yoga and energy work while “harnessing” the powerful emotional capabilities that horses can offer.
In my teen years, my parents took us out of school and moved us all abroad to Florence, Italy where I lived with them for 8 of their 15 years. It was an incredible life-changing experience that gave me so much appreciation for language, culture, connection with other people through completely immersing myself in their native language and becoming fluent in the first 5 months of residency. I started offering interpretation services shortly after. I was raised by very entrepreneurial parents, which I give credit for providing a business minded-environment growing up, handing me the entrepreneurial glass, so to speak, to allow me to see the world through opportunistic lenses, creating the belief system that nothing was out of the realm of possibility. Denying any space for doubt or fear for failure and having the resilience to pursue anything without hesitation or worry of the outcome. I worked for a while in the hospitality business through working in my family’s Airbnb business and mother’s tour business that introduced me to the luxury customer experience in one of the most famous cities in the world. It started from taking in lost tourists and offering them a bedroom in our home and giving them personal walks through the city we had grown to love so close to our hearts, which turned into a full business opportunity. This allowed me to interact and come in contact with thousands of incredible and culturally diverse people and learn about their lives and stories which enriched my perspective on the world and helped me become more and more empathetic to our world family.
Fast forward to last year, after moving back to the United States, I created many businesses stemmed from the natural curiosity of ideas utilizing my given skills that would help serve the community.
In March of 2021, I started La Belle Vie Charcuterie, one evening. It was the direct product of inspiration and insomnia. I spent the entire night writing down every detail of my business plan from the logo to the specific color palette of my Instagram Feed to the branding and by sunrise I had every detail mapped out and I had a new business. I used my knowledge and love for fine foods abroad and natively to recreate the most authentic European experience of charcuterie here to the state of Utah. I felt strongly that this was a call to action and that I had the responsibility to carry out this project to create jobs for people that the business would create.
We offer best luxury imported Charcuterie experience to small and corporate events, magical grazing tables for weddings, destination weddings in national parks. We have worked with many incredible couples, corporations, local talent, been featured in print and magazine. Supporting the community in every capacity possible including supporting and sourcing our artisan cheese, fruit, honey, and bread from local bakeries. We are growing at a rapid pace each day and we are pleased with the overwhelming response and love of charcuterie from the community. It’s been incredible to see how this product has been a part of important life events for families, individuals and companies in celebrating their successes, sending love and uplifting a friend or neighbor healing from cancer with a charcuterie board, and families celebrating their unions as the most important days of their lives. People will not always remember the details but they will remember how they felt. We love how these boards make them feel as well as the special attention to details in each order/creation. We are so excited for the changes and rapid growth we are experiencing and all the big things coming for La Belle Vie Charcuterie.
In addition to am currently overseeing and working on many different entrepreneurial pursuits that will greatly support the community by creating employment opportunities in an exciting and positive work environment and to inspire future entrepreneurs to follow their dreams.
I am grateful for the opportunity and freedom these entrepreneurial pursuits allow me and the time and resources it provides me to spend with my family and allows me to live a fulfilling life that is so rich with experiences like travel and working with horses which I love. I hope that the way I have navigated through life experiences and by the way I choose to live life to the fullest, how I conduct my business pursuits and dreams inspires people to live theirs fully as well! I want to leave this world better than I found it and that I have positively impacted as many people as possible.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The natural process of pursuing entrepreneurship will include bumps or mountains in the road. To be an entrepreneur or to confront life, you must proceed knowing that there will always be challenges. Naturally, anything worth doing or that will make a wave or impact will invite some level of pushback. This does not mean that you should expect everything to go wrong or bad things to happen. These are exciting puzzles that you must anticipate with optimism and a problem-solving mindset, like harnessing the power of a wave in the ocean by riding it on the surfboard, instead of being overcome by the waves and being pulled under the surface. On the other side of finding solutions to these obstacles, you will find that you have more resilience to any unforeseen or unexpected problem or challenges in your business or in life. I wouldn’t say that the process and progressions with each of my businesses have been “smooth roads” but through each experience in my life starting from a young age have each prepared me for the next experience by adding a little bit more tenacity here, and a little more resilience there, but through successes bringing loads of excitement and adrenaline proving each dream worthy of the ups and downs. Every experience in your business or life teach you something valuable. It is your choice to see it as such and learn from every experience through the ups and downs which prepare you even more for the next part, the next chapter, the next project.

How do you define success?
I think success is relative and can be defined differently according to each individual as we go through this life experience differently. I personally measure my success by my small and large, short-term and long-term goals, and find success in the start-pursuing-completing those goals. Anytime I get closer to fulfilling my potential. All of our big successes are made up of smaller successes. The large accomplishments and successes can be traced back and defined by our daily habits and actions. I feel successful when I know that I am closer to reaching my potential that my maker created me to do on this earth. My biggest goal on this earth is to positively impact and inspire and serve as many people as possible.
