Check Out Tiffany Rosenhan’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Rosenhan.

Tiffany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started writing stories for fun when my four daughters were babies! I was frequently home alone at night and gravitated toward writing creatively as a way to entertain myself. It wasn’t long before I craved solitary time with words and began to prioritize it. From then on, writing became a part of me I couldn’t let go.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not! Writing has been the greatest gift. However, while writing is fun, therapeutic, and rewarding . . . editing is hard work! Especially the tedious editing required to push your manuscript to the next level. It was hard for me to balance the fun part of creative writing, with the practical part of sitting down with the stories I had haphazardly thrown on the page and now needed to rebuild. Additionally, like most authors, the path to publication was chaotic and unpredictable. I was fortunate to land a literary agent in Manhattan who not only believed in a spy thriller for teen girls, but who was also able to connect me with an editor at Bloomsbury who happened to love the story! I suppose it was a fairly typical process, however, in that eventually, it came down to a combination of hard work and luck!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a young adult fiction author specializing in thrillers. I am also an artist and love to paint, create, and collaborate. Book development – helping others tell and share their stories – is something I am passionate about and look forward to continuing long term.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Due to varying degrees of Covid restrictions, when my debut was released in July 2020, I frequently felt like my promotional hands were tied. But there were ways and the community was so supportive. First, I visited podcasts and conducted online interviews, including a large Bookstagram campaign. Then, I began meeting with classrooms via zoom and by spring, I was able to begin visiting schools in person. Meeting with students has been an absolute joy! Since I began visiting schools in the spring of 2021, I haven’t stopped, and look forward to the many thousands more inspiring readers and writers I hope to meet in the future.
