Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Rabetoy.

Hi Tim, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been an athlete and involved with sports my entire life so personal training was always a natural fit for me.
I strongly believe that our physical health is very closely related to our happiness as humans.

I grew up in San Diego and then moved from Southern California to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1996 to attend the University of Utah. While attending college I was a personal trainer for the Governor of Utah, and worked as a professional personal trainer in the city at night.

I graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2000. After graduation I became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach in addition to my Personal Training Certification.

Before moving to Logan I spent 10 years in Honolulu, Hawaii as a Corporate Fitness Director and master personal trainer. I moved to Logan with my wife and two sons in 2021. I started Logan Personal Training Studio in 2024

I’ve also been a professional athlete for over 20 years. I am a professional arm wrestler and compete in some of the biggest tournaments in the country. I recently won medals at the North American Championships in Las Vegas in 2024 and 2025.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For a few years I weighed over 400 pounds. During college my weight really ballooned and I had to use strict diet and exercise to lose over 200 pounds and get back in shape. This was a huge help to me as a fitness professional though, because I understand exactly what a lot of my clients are going through, and they know I can help them.

I’ve also been waking up every morning for 15 years at 3:30 am to prepare for my 5 am start time. That’s a bit rough.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Logan Personal Training Studio is a private gym (no memberships) with lots of floor space and lots of great equipment. I do Private One on One Personal Training, One on One Nutrition Coaching, and Group Fitness Classes.

I’m a results based personal trainer. I place my value as a personal trainer on the results that I get for my clients. My job is to help my clients get to their goals no matter what. You want to climb the mountain? I’ll be your guide the whole way.

What I’m best at is helping people get the most out of their body at any age. I can identify what is holding someone back from getting stronger or losing weight immediately, correct it right away, and plot a course for success.

I specialize in simple and effective short duration, high intensity workouts. All of my personal training sessions and fitness classes are only 30 minutes so I teach people how to get maximum results in a very short amount of time. So many people make excuses about “not having enough time” to exercise. Everyone has 30 minutes a day they can dedicate to their body.

My other specialty is Nutrition Coaching. After being over 400 pounds, and losing over 200 pounds, I definitely know what a person should be and should not be eating and what the best steps are in order to lose weight fast. Most people that are overweight are having a problem because of their diet, not just lack of exercise. They’re eating too much. Plain and simple. They have no control over what they’re eating, how many calories they’re taking in, no way to track it, and no direction for the future. With Nutrition Coaching my clients get a Nutrition Plan with all the calories, rules, habits and lifestyle changes included to maximize weight loss from day one, and then we track it and make small changes each week for maximum resultls. My average client loses 10 pounds per month with Nutrition Coaching. I have several clients that have lost over 50 pounds just this year. Those are life changing results.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
