Check Out Tracy Powers’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Powers.

Hi Tracy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
A few roads converged to bring me to the point I am today. One is I started as a dancer, choreographer, and lover of expression. This led me to become a teacher and healer – through the movement practices of Pilates and Gyrotonic. I fine-tuned my eye for patterns and saw how energy moved through people. I spend a lot of time with them 1:1 learning not only from their bodies but also the stories of their lives that they shared with me. I began to see how what they shared with me correlated with their physical tension and injuries. It quickly became obvious how much understanding psychology as well as being present and caring was a big part of my job. As I was on my own personal growth and spiritual journey, I began pulling concepts into my teaching, holding space for my clients and giving advice as desired. Soon I was being told almost daily that I should be a therapist or coach. I followed the inner and outer calling and added a coaching certification with Tony Robbins’ – Robbins-Madanes training to my many programs and certifications.

It was also the journey I took in my relationship that made me who I am today. I am a born romantic and since I was young, I have felt called to be in a deep partnership with a man. And this dream did not come easily to me. It wasn’t a matter of just meeting the right person or being in the right place at the right time. It was a journey deep into myself. It was a process of healing and growing. It was struggling in marriage and getting a divorce. It was a trip down rabbit holes with teachers and coaches. It was learning how to communicate, understand others, and know myself. It was doing work that could be challenging, but I also loved exploring. It was getting to be with my partner, Peter – who held me and called me to expand my skills and capacities. It was through gaining this greatest gift of my life – living the dream come true of partnership – that I wanted to share what I learned with other women who were on a similar journey. Because it didn’t come easily, I am very conscious of what works and what doesn’t. And I am still expanding in love and partnership with immense gratitude. My work pulls from understanding the influence of gender in multiple contexts including masculine/feminine energies and societal patterns. I also help people better understand themselves, what motivates them, and what leads to their highest fulfillment. I also love working on communication and understanding in relationships. I feel called to witness and support women in going deeper into their relationships and with themselves.

Because I know how worth it this work is.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve been an entrepreneur for most of my career path, which requires a lot of devotion and dedication. As a business owner, the buck always stops with you and you must learn various business skills in real time which can be challenging. In addition, I have been a very devoted mother and for much of the time, a single mother managing the bulk of parenting duties. So working through the internal and external demands placed on me has not been easy. I’m also a highly sensitive and intuitive being which influences my needs as introvert. Being an introvert can seem like a struggle to a business owner, so I remain focused on the skills it does provide me and how committed I am to serving my clients and audience. As Tony Robbins says, business is a spiritual game. It is through all the challenges, which we all face from time to time, that allow for optimum growth.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My current offerings are 1:1 life/relationship coaching for women wanting to go deeper with themselves and in their relationships. I have many modalities to pull from in my toolbox. I enjoy working on gaining clarity, healing techniques, communication skills, and practices that go beyond just talking through things. Each package is intuitively crafted and made in cooperation with the clients for their highest benefit.

I also co-host Full Moon Women’s Circles that alternate between Park City and Salt Lake areas. After so much time apart and working in the virtual space because of COVID, we are so excited to come back together in person. We are building a community of women who feel supported, safe, and free to be authentic. Meeting monthly on the full moons provide rich times for women to gather, lean into one another, and inspire each other. Each month, we present a new theme for exploration that is ripe for our community and relevant to the moment. Participants are skillfully guided through curated evenings of meditation, embodiment practice, authentic relating games, ceremonies, discussion topics, and more. These circles allow women to reflect, nourish, and connect deeply, so they can step into the next moon cycle powerfully. I’ve adored the richness and depth we have been able to create through these circles so far.

I am proud of how well I guide women and provide a space for them to learn and grow and feel really seen and supported in the process. I’m proud of how well I help women understand men and learn to bring out the best in them so they can have deep relationships with them and not feel trapped in the patriarchy. I feel really grateful for all of the connections I have shared and the light I have seen in each person I work with.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My primary core values are love, joy, and peace – these have become my guiding star in living my life. Each of these qualities also has a flavor of gratitude that enhances them for me. These matter to me because no matter what I am working to create in my life – this is how I want to feel. My partner and children are huge priorities for me because they are the most important relationships to me. And I believe that the quality of your relationships determines the quality of your life. I also am committed to taking good care of myself so I can continue to contribute to others. This involves time in nature, being present in my body, and staying committed to my health and personal growth path. Having depth in relationships and interactions is very important to me. My relationship to myself is vital. Being able to contribute to my clients and community really matters to me because I believe in using my skills to help others and I find it nurturing to my soul. Having extraordinary experiences in my life also really matters to me. I love discovering new amazing things that life has to offer.
