Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Pinto.
Hi Victoria, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
So I didn’t have a direct career path I always wanted to take, I just knew I wanted to be a mother and have a family. I knew I loved filming and creating but wasn’t sure what I could do with that. So after I had my daughter, I became a stay-at-home mom full time. Thankfully, I am blessed with a husband who works hard and that allowed me to care for our daughter while he made the money.
I started filming and did small collaborations with various brands and worked on my health and fitness to “get back on track” after giving birth. I tried various side hustles to keep me busy, and as my daughter grew year by year, I started finding myself again within my career. In the past three years, I started finding different content creation opportunities that were in various niches—home, beauty, fashion, education, toys, and more.
I dove feet first into working for different companies and handling big projects that overlooked all of the creativity for the concepts and researching the current trends going on now to create the best-performing ads in the UGC space. The results were great and I made these brands a lot of money with top-performing ads in education and children’s toy niches being the best thus far. My daughter started catching gigs left and right, so she also helps me film content!
So that’s where I am now! I do Content Creation full-time and get to be with my daughter every day. My husband is a huge support for me; he has to hear all of my ideas daily and even comes up with some hooks or visuals if I get stuck on a UGC concept I am creating.
I have time and freedom which I love, and I get to do something I am insanely passionate about. I finally found the balance between home life, work life, and being a parent and wife, while still taking care of myself in a way that feels loving and important.
I truly believe self-care is a priority in any person’s life, but as a mother and spouse who is busy, it’s important to find those small pockets of time to do “me” things. Those being gym, hair, and makeup along with meditation and yoga!
These things all keep me sane!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not always! I think any mother can relate to the fact that after birth, depression, and anxiety are real, and finding yourself again, or rather, creating yourself again, takes time and patience with yourself.
And as far as being my own boss – that has ups and downs too! Some days, I compare myself to the most successful creators in the space, and other days I look in the mirror and say… wow, I DID THAT! I am very proud of myself and my journey.
On any big or small negative moments in life, I remember the quote “This too shall pass”. That helps me get through it!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a full-time content creator in the User Generated Content space. I have experience hiring creators for various projects and being the creator! (That’s my favorite).
If you’re not familiar with this advertising avenue, I create videos for brands to use on their page as a normal social media post or run as a paid advertisement! This is not like being an influencer and has nothing to do with the creator following!
What sets me apart is my confidence and willingness to do anything. Honestly, if I needed to be on my roof to get the hook for a video… or jump into a lake to get the perfect shot, I’m doing it! Commitment to the video concept is key!
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
Ohhhh, “No Excuses” by Brian Tracey is my favorite book. I love self-help books. I’m currently reading “Girl on Fire” by Cara Alwill Leyba!
I mostly listen to YouTube podcasts that relate to content creation or are made by creators themselves but they discuss their daily lives! I love Fool Coverage Podcast with Manny and Laura!
