Hi Aly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started my business about 7 years ago, after quitting my corporate job where I was treated poorly and unappreciated by my boss. It motivated me to work hard so I didn’t have to work for someone else again. I was also a single mom at the time which inspired me to provide for him and give him a good life. I started an Instagram page called “The Best of Logan” and started posting about my community and the businesses in it. Now we have almost 20k local followers, work with hundreds of amazing brands, give back to our community with giveaways and charities, and will soon be launching our own app!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are always struggles when running your own business. Not feeling seen or valued and wanting to prove people wrong. Being a women in business has been a struggle too. But those are obstacles that gave me the strength to get to where I am today. Lots of lessons and learning along the way. If you believe in yourself and what your brand stands for and show up day after day, it will turn into something beautiful.

My business is a community platform that promotes small businesses online. It’s a tool for residents to get to know the businesses in our town, find out about local sports and events, favorite shops and restaurants and so much more! We help bring exposure to local businesses while creating fun, engaging content along the way. We have grown organically over the years and have gained a very loyal following. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, positive message, and the way that we showcase the heart behind the businesses in our town.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
There’s many ways to find a mentor in business. Be eager to learn from other successful business owners and ask for advice. Never stop learning and striving to be your best.
