Community Highlights: Meet Ashley Razo of FBA Skin (Foreverbyash)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Razo.

Hi Ashley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started working in esthetics shortly after graduating in 2016. What began as a deep love for skincare and helping others feel confident in their own skin eventually evolved into a full-time business in 2021.

At first, I was a solo esthetician navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship—building a client base, perfecting my craft, and learning how to manage the business side of things. Over time, as demand grew, I realized I needed help and began expanding my team and services. That’s when my vision shifted from just providing treatments to creating a supportive, empowering space for both clients and employees.

Today, my spa has grown into a thriving business with multiple locations, a team of passionate estheticians, and a loyal community. I’m currently in the process of transitioning out of daily operations to step into a mentorship role—supporting the next generation of women in business while making space for my own personal growth and future goals. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was burnout. When I first started, I was doing everything servicing clients full-time, managing the business, training new employees, and constantly putting out fires behind the scenes. I loved what I was doing, but over time, I started to feel physically and emotionally drained.

That burnout forced me to take a step back and really evaluate what I wanted not just from the business, but from life. I realized I had built something successful, but I hadn’t created the space to actually enjoy it. That moment of clarity is what led me to start restructuring the business, building up my team, and eventually preparing to step out of the daily operations.

It was a hard season, but also a turning point. Burnout taught me that sustainability and self-care are just as important as hustle. Now, I’m focused on creating a business that thrives without sacrificing the well being of myself or my team.

We’ve been impressed with FBA Skin (Foreverbyash), but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
FBA Skin is a results-driven spa that specializes in advanced skincare treatments like microneedling, chemical peels, corrective facials, and full-body waxing. But beyond our services, what truly sets us apart is our heart for the community and our commitment to making high quality skincare more accessible.

One of the ways we’ve done this is through our membership program. Skincare can be a luxury for many, and we wanted to change that. Our membership model allows clients to receive consistent treatments at a significantly more affordable rate, which has helped us build long-term relationships and support skin health on a deeper level. It’s not just a discount it’s a way to make professional skincare part of people’s routine without breaking the bank.

I’m most proud of how our brand has grown without losing its core values education, empowerment, and inclusivity. We’ve created a space that’s welcoming, professional, and results-focused, and our mission is always to serve with intention. Whether someone comes in for a quick wax or a full skin transformation, they know they’re walking into a space that truly cares.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
stepping into the unknown whether it was going full-time with my spa in 2021, signing leases for new locations, hiring a team, or most recently, preparing to step back and hand over leadership to someone I’ve mentored.

One of the biggest risks I took was walking away from the security of a stable job to fully pursue entrepreneurship. I had no backup plan, just a deep belief in my vision and a lot of late nights. Another big leap was expanding during uncertain times investing in staff, equipment, and space before I had “guaranteed” demand. But every time I bet on myself and my team, it pushed us to rise to the occasion.

To me, risk is less about recklessness and more about trusttrusting your vision, your intuition, and your ability to pivot if things don’t go as planned. I don’t take risks blindly, but I also don’t let fear paralyze me. I think if you want to create something meaningful, you have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
