Community Highlights: Meet Brantz Wilcox of Built BodyWorx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brantz Wilcox.

Hi Brantz, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started out as an intern working under a Chiropractor. Once I graduated I started working with the Utah Grizzlies Hockey Team. From there I wanted to increase my skill set and worked with a mentor of mine. From there I became a sub-contractor with the University of Utah Athletics, working with the Football Team, Women’s Gymnastics, and Women’s Track & Field.

Eventually, it all lead me to start my own business to create a future for my family and me, so Built BodyWorx was born. I work with anyone, but the majority of my clientele are athletes or a part of an active lifestyle. Blessed!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Every business has its ups and downs. It’s always a bit nerve-racking starting out, to jump out into the unknown but still believe in yourself and your dreams. For the most part, I’ve been blessed with connections and amazing clients who refer people my way.

We’ve been impressed with Built BodyWorx, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Sports Massage and/or Injury Therapy. My treatment sessions are catered toward your specific pains or injuries. We take into account lifestyle, passed injuries, and any other contributors. We set ourselves apart by helping to solve the issue with different protocols, getting you back to doing what you love.

It’s much less about a spa, relaxing massage, and more so about fixing the specific problem! Our services are priced as all-inclusive: Muscle Scraping, Cupping, Deep Tissue Muscle Work, Stretching, Movement & more! We’re most proud to see our clients active, moving, and living without pain!

What were you like growing up?
Grew up with a single Mom and 4 younger siblings. I was quiet, and had a super solid friend group! We definitely got into trouble here and there, but what is teenage life without trouble? Sorry, Mom. I played sports here and there which is where my original interest began with Sports Medicine.
