Community Highlights: Meet Brock Johnson of InstaClubHub

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brock Johnson. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Brock Johnson

Brock Johnson is a 27-year-old, 7-figure entrepreneur passionate about helping others grow their following and business on Instagram. Brock was raised in an entrepreneurial family with parents Bret and Chalene Johnson. In 2017, Brock launched his business with his first E-course, teaching moms how to protect their teens on Snapchat. Shortly after launching that business and while playing college football, Brock pivoted to focus on Social Media Marketing and growth. His businesses quickly evolved into social media coaching while hosting the Social Media Money Makers podcast. Since then, he has worked with tens of thousands of creators and business owners to grow their social media and, most specifically, their Instagram. Brock grew his Instagram following by 400K in one year and has over 700k followers on the platform. In 2020, Brock and his mom, Chalene, launched what has now become the #1 Instagram Coaching Community in the world, the InstaClubHub. Brock and Chalene are now co-hosts of a top 10 business Podcast called Build Your Tribe. As an instructor of multiple online courses, International public speaker, Meta consultant, and viral social media creator, Brock is a leading expert in social media growth and monetization.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road to where I am today has been anything but direct. Despite growing up with entrepreneur parents, I never thought I’d be in business. My lifelong goal was to play in the National Football League, but after a successful high school and college football career, my sports journey ended. While in college, I began my entrepreneurial journey to gain financial independence and provide for myself. Shortly after launch, the NCAA shut my business down for nearly a year due to an investigation into the business. At that time, NCAA student-athletes were forbidden from using their name, image, or likeness (NIL) to earn an income. Still, my business was deemed separate from my career as a football player, and thus, I was allowed to resume doing business. This setback also occurred when Snapchat, my primary social media channel, had rapidly declined in users. I used this opportunity to pivot my business and relaunch on Instagram.

As you know, we’re big fans of InstaClubHub. For our readers who might need to become more familiar with the brand, what can you tell them about it?
The InstaClubHub is the number 1 Instagram coaching resource globally, helping more than 50,000 people grow and monetize their Instagram. The club, as it is affectionately known, is truly the last Instagram resource that a business or creator will ever need. From training and templates to 1:1 coaching and custom content calendars to need-to-know Instagram news alerts, our members have everything they need (and more) to have a successful Instagram presence. Last year, the average engaged InstaClubHub student grew by 15,947 followers.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always starting odd “businesses” and inventing things. My early years of life were all about sports. I played almost every sport imaginable but loved football and basketball. I was always playing, training, and practicing something. I was also one of those kids who was always praised for being “great at talking to adults” and “wise beyond my years.” I took a lot of pride in working hard and being mature, but I also realized that underlying perfectionism, people-pleasing tendencies, and anxiety fueled a lot of that. Luckily, I found a great therapist in my 20s who helped me let go of the non-helpful aspects of my personality and hold onto the helpful ones.
