Hi Christian, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My career path has been all over the map.
After growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, I was a musician for 10 years, I’ve worked for brands like GoPro and Harley-Davidson, I’ve started an alcohol company that was acquired by MillerCoors, and I’ve been a government contractor, traveling to Iraq 40 different times for several weeks at a time.
While this seems completely random, each piece of my journey led me to start Uncharted Supply Co, which was launched after identifying that the world was changing quickly, yet people were more and more dependent on others and technology to solve problems for them. I set out to build a brand that would make the world a safer place through high-quality gear, expert instruction, and intuitive design.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think smooth would be in the top 1,000 words I”d use to describe this journey.
They always say if you knew how much work it would be, you’d never start, and that’s probably more realistic. Starting any business is hard, and scaling a business during a pandemic is even harder. From copycats to supply chain, cash flow issues to whatever… there are challenges nearly every single day. But we continue to solve and in that process, get stronger, daily.
Our small problems get solved and bigger problems appear. It’s just the nature of the beast, but I’d still choose this path overbuilding someone else’s dream anyway.

Uncharted Supply Co. builds products designed to make you the hero of your own story. We officially launched in November 2016 and in the process, started an entirely new industry.
Several years later, we are the industry leader and sell not only to private citizens but government agencies around the world as well as private security companies. There are plenty of copycats now, offering similar-looking products at a reduced price, but nobody has been able to match our quality and sophistication. We continue to innovate and have won Best in Show at the Outdoor Retailer Show both times we have exhibited, which to my knowledge, hasn’t happened before.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that if we’re putting our name on something, you can trust it. We may be more expensive than a competitor, but our margins are likely smaller. You are investing in life-saving products that we stand behind 100%
What matters most to you?
I think it’s our responsibility to leave the world better than we found it. This company is my way of doing this.
