Today we’d like to introduce you to Ian Rosales
Hi Ian, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My partner and I knew we wanted to have our own business. Be our own boss. We knew that this 9-5 , asking for permission from our employer to be present for our kids school activities was not it for us. But we also knew we wanted to make a difference in our community. We wanted to do something that gave us joy doing. During Covid I heard of another similar company that was doing giveaways and I was in love with the idea. And more importantly the impact they were having in our community. We knew nothing about the industry but said, what the heck, if they can do it, so can we!
Fast forward a year and we are happy to say we are still holding on! Of course we are still learning everyday as we go but proud of what we have accomplished so far! Proud of the impact we have had with our previous winners! Seeing the joy they get when they receive that phone call to let them know they won! The look on there face when we arrive to there home with the prize and realize, yes this is really happening! Our goal is to keep holding on and enjoy the ride! To keep scaling up our prizes and make bigger impacts in many more lives! Thank you all who have supported Volent approach thus far, and to anyone who will do so in the future! We hope to be making that call to you one day!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This process has been far from a smooth road. This business was completely new to us. We didn’t even know where to start on day 1. But a bit of ambition and commitment and we started to see the idea become a reality. Don’t get us wrong we are still learning everyday but we can at least now get by.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Volent Approach?
Volent Approach is a giveaway company. The most common way of entering is by purchasing merchandise from our store. Essentially for every $1 you get 1 entry. We do run promotions that will tend to give you more entries throughout the giveaway, at random. Depending on the giveaway we can run it for a couple weeks or months. Once the period ends we gather all the entries. The 3rd party company we work with will provide us a name of the winner. Once we determine the winner checks all the boxes in our rules, we deliver it to them! Best part of the whole process!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Our goal is to be able to transition into vehicles. We don’t want to fully leave the outdoor space. We would love to do giveaway packages where you can win a vehicle with an outdoor toy! We also want to be able to run these giveaways more frequently to make a bigger impact on more winners! Last but not least we are wanting to also provide these giveaways in places we are not currently offering!
