Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Katsilas.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story started with a leap of faith.
I didn’t know exactly what the next step would look like or where it would lead me. I had been an athlete and fitness lover most of my life, but something kept pulling me toward bodybuilding. So I decided to bet on myself and step on stage for the first time in April of 2023.
What started as curiosity quickly turned into purpose.
Through discipline, faith, and relentless work, that first step turned into something I never could have imagined. In August of 2024, I earned my IFBB Pro Card, turning a dream into reality.
Now I’m entering my rookie season in the IFBB Pro League, working toward qualifying for the Olympia stage.
But the greatest part of this journey hasn’t just been the titles or the stages. It’s been the ability to help hundreds of women and men discover their own strength, believe in themselves, and realize what they’re truly capable of.
Bodybuilding has become more than just a sport for me. It’s been a path of purpose, discipline, deep self-reflection and building a relationship with God.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This road has been far from smooth. This journey has been filled with highs and lows, moments of winning, and moments of failing. But those moments are what shaped me. The hardest part was never the hunger or the exhaustion that comes with prep. The real challenge will always be the mental battle. I faced a lot of self doubt, and I got to relearn who I was. I had to let go of old habits like drugs, alcohol, and toxic people. I had to step into a completely new lifestyle that demanded more discipline, patience, and belief in myself more than I had ever experienced before. There were moments, and are still moments, where I question if I am good enough or if I truly belong on that stage and if I’m good enough to coach people to health and wellness. But every challenge so far has forced me to grow stronger, mentally and physically. Bodybuilding has a way of holding up a mirror. It shows you exactly who you are, where you need to grow, and what you’re capable of becoming if you’re willing to keep showing up.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about MadKats Coaching?
I am the founder of MadKats Coaching, a fitness and lifestyle coaching business dedicated to helping individuals transform both physically and mentally through structured training, nutrition, and mindset development.
I specialize in body recomposition, strength building, fat loss, hormone-supportive nutrition, and bodybuilding preparation, along with posing coaching for bikini, wellness, and fit model athletes.
What sets my coaching apart is the holistic approach combined with modern medicine. I strongly believe there is a time and place for both Western and holistic healing. While many programs focus only on workouts and macros, I believe in looking at the entire picture. This includes nutrition, training mechanics, recovery, mindset, environment, lifestyle habits, and long-term sustainability.
I take great pride in helping people reach not only a short-term physique goal, but also build a body and lifestyle where they feel exceptionally good and can maintain confidence in their health long after the program ends.
As an IFBB Pro Bikini athlete, I bring firsthand experience from the competitive side of the sport. I understand the discipline, sacrifice, and attention to detail required to step on stage because I’m actively living that journey myself as I work toward qualifying for the Olympia. This allows me to guide athletes not only through physique development, but also through stage presentation, confidence, and posing, which are major components of success in bodybuilding.
What I am most proud of when it comes to my brand is the community and confidence it helps create. Watching clients develop belief in themselves and accomplish goals they once thought were impossible is incredibly rewarding. I get to witness the transformations they go through mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and that is what makes this work meaningful to me.
At the end of the day, MadKats Coaching exists to help people discover the most powerful version of themselves.
MadKats Coaching currently offers 1:1 all-inclusive coaching, competition preparation, posing coaching for bikini, wellness, and fit model athletes, and customized nutrition strategies designed to support body recomposition, hormone health, and long-term sustainability.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I am constantly learning so that I can give the most to my clients.
I am currently taking an intensive 8 week Gut Course ran by Dane Anderson and Blake West, along with a PCOS Module by them. I work closely with my Mentor Alex Croteau on a weekly basis who is a master in all things health and wellness and training. I surround myself with people who are way smarter than me and help push me to learn more and do more in the health space.
Some books I’m reading right now are ‘Good Energy’ by Casey Means and ‘Outlive’ by Dr. Peter Attia. I really like listening to podcasts by Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Huberman, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon.
