Hi Twila, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, I loved setting the table for our family’s celebrations, marveling at my grandmother’s curio cabinet, and polishing the silver.
At 22, I was captivated by the beauty of Polish Pottery while on a trip to Poland in 1989.
Berlin was coming down and I wanted to walk on history and unbeknownst to me the ignition of my life’s mission with being lite.
With my first purchase of a small vase, I became aware it would be my life’s work to inspire and enrich everyone’s life by importing these functional works of art. Setting up tabletops across the US to welcome family celebrations and the mundane day-to-day task in the kitchen.
There is no limit to the inspiration from these practical works of art to affect our daily life for the better.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The mission made it sensible to navigate but there has been heartbreak along the way.
Family turmoil while working the business together, unmet promises from the manufacturer and individual artists, and the learning curve but the mission was the focus and the problems came and went.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Creating a life’s mission through a profession was my plan.
What do you think about happiness?
Happiness is a mindset… there are activities or moments where I experience more happiness or it is highlighted in some way but long ago I just chose to be happy.
My brain automatically sees the bright side and thoughts are created that perpetuate more joy. I let go of finding happiness outside of myself.
