Hi Van , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all started with a Donut. We were sitting in the Chevron Gas station eating a donut and I said to Jared “someone should really put a side by side rental place on this side of the mountain where it is easily accessed from the valley and Park City.” That is where it all started. . . A month later we had acquired 4 machines and started the rental business. In 2022 we approached Polaris and we started a relationship with them as an adventure outfitter. We added snow machines in 2023 and added boats in 2024. We are the only 4 season outfitter in the Kamas valley.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This is a loaded question. What seems like mountains to some may be small hills to others. We have been able to cover the nut and fund the snow sports well but we are still sparing every day with the elements. I think every business has its challenges. Has it been smooth? It has been as smooth as a rutted dirt road. If you go fast you don’t feel the bumps as much.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We believe that the hospitality business has always been a great business to be in. We believe that it will continue to grow. We feel that we have a long way to go but we can make a niche for Uinta Adventures as a destination hub for the future outdoor adventure industry in the Summit County and Kamas Valley
