Today we’d like to introduce you to Abdulrahman Alhosani.
Hi Abdulrahman, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I work as an Aircraft Engineer in Sanad Mubadala Abu Dhabi. Also, I am representing the UAE in different international competitions in the Triathlons and Marathons. I started doing triathlons in 2012. Since then, I have done more than 30 international races representing my country. Moreover, I have done races on all of the world continents.
I qualified for Ironman World Championship four times. My sports career started in football where I got an injury in 2007, and after my recovery, I decided to start another sport which was running and doing marathons. After I have done my first triathlon in 2012, I loved this game that has swimming, cycling, and running. It’s not only a sport that we do, it’s a lifestyle that keeps you healthy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Never you will find a smooth road in reaching your goals and dreams. I faced lots of difficulties especially finding time to train as I work long hours during the day. With other family responsibilities, it was really hard but we should organize our time and never keep that as an excuse.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work as an Aircraft Engineer in Sanad Mubadala Abu Dhabi. I am specialized in Aero Engines. Also, I am representing the UAE in different international competitions in the Triathlons and Marathons. I started doing triathlons in 2012. Since then, I have done more than 30 international races representing my country.
I am proud that I represented my country in all of the world continents and also to become the first Emirati to qualify to Ironman World Championship four times.
