Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Isabel Altamira.
Hi Ana Isabel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Catta Stone Builds is a newly established company that started in 2021 as CMG Building LLC. The founders Francisco Chavez (my partner) and Valentin Rodrigues who combine 13 years of experience in the fabrication industry, thought about joining their skills and expertise to start their own business in order to support their families. Valentin has 3 beautiful children and a wife who provide him with comfort and support through thick and thin. As for Francisco and I, we have been in a long-distance relationship for the past 3 years, and looking for ways to be able to shorten the kilometres between us, and take the next step in our relationship we thought about the 3 of us joining forces to start Catta Stone Builds! We are 3 hard-working individuals with strong values and a family-oriented upbringing which has allowed us to see eye to eye to what’s important for us as a team, and especially our clients.
Slowly but surely, we have built strong friendships within the stone countertops industry and lasting relationships with our clients. I, Ana Isabel Altamira will be joining the team in person this January 2023 as a marketing and sales representative with one goal in mind, to expand Catta Stone Builds by showcasing high-quality stonework and design services for residential, commercial and hospitality.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the main struggles I see as a newly established company is to gain our client’s trust over older stone fabrication shops. We work hard to set Catta Stone Builds apart within this highly popular industry.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My name is Ana Isabel Altamira, graphic designer, lettering artist, and photographer. I lived for the past 13 years in Toronto, Canada. I hold a Bachelor’s in Design from OCAD University, and an Art Certificate from Sheridan College. I’ve been working as a freelancer since 2017. For the past 5 years, I have been able to work and gain strong experience within the art and design field. From wedding, lifestyle and food/drink photography, and hand-lettering services for weddings and hospitality to logo, website, and graphic design for various industries.
It’s really important for me to keep my creative mind stimulated. My curiosity is what has brought me to learn, practice, and master more than one skill.
I’m excited to move to the beautiful state of Utah to learn and expand my skills in the stone fabrication industry. I’m looking forward to adding interior and product design to my professional portfolio while undertaking Catta Stone Builds with my partner.
What makes you happy?
Life makes me happy. The simple things like the peace you can find in a cup of coffee in a quiet space in the morning, the sound of birds when spring arrives, watching a movie by myself, laughing with my siblings while telling stories, sharing absolutely anything with my partner. Creating with my hands, making art, and being able to make a living doing what I love. This and more make me happy because it makes me feel lucky to be able to live, feel and see all these things.
