Conversations with Andrew Winston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Winston

Hi Andrew, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been creative in some way from a young age. I grew up dancing loving music and performing. I love the creativity that went into choreography. I watched my dance teachers create steps that aligned with the beat of a song. I saw them choreograph group pieces with multiple people. That was fascinating within itself. People with all different personality dance styles. Thats where it all began. Learning and mastering the art form known as dance. I danced professionally for about 15 years. In my 30’s is when I started to feel like I should change careers. Didn’t know what I wanted to do but it had to be different than an average 9-5. My previous job I was the Creative Pastor at a local church here in Utah. I learned many skillsets like how to build a team. Creating design for stages, facilitating worship nights outdoors and so much more. I am amazed at the skills I learned while being in this position. Different from dance but still very creative. After leaving that job I knew that I desired to be creative and build a team around me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been many obstacles along the way. When I started this company I started with a business partner. He ended up wanting to leave the company leaving a massive hole in the organization after year 1. Which was frustrating but needed at the same time. One of the things that I struggle with is when team leave my organization and transition to something else. Its hard for me because I am so invested into their lives.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the CEO of a company called Nomolos Creative. We are a Creative Agency that specializes in Social Media, Web Design and Branding.

I am most proud of working with multiple different organizations and companies over 100 in the past 3 years.

I believe that we are different in our approach to building social media and helping collaborators (clients) see that they can do it and that they are creative.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see by that time revenue being over 2-3 million a year. I see a team that is passionate about helping others and creating amazing content that aligns with their vision.

I also see myself owning multiple companies.
