Hi AuLora, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all started after my divorce with my ex-husband… I was stuck and I couldn’t see myself going anywhere. One day I decided to put my foot down and put myself first. A lot of people said growing up, “doing hair wouldn’t get me anywhere in life.” and I wanted to not only prove to them but prove to myself that I can follow my dream and do what I have always loved to do. I did start a little late in the game because I hit a wall when my father died in 2015 when I graduated from high school. From there my whole life just spiraled into a big mess I thought I had no way out of. Looking back now I couldn’t be more proud of myself for never giving up on myself. I am able to do what I love, be my own boss, I even ran back into my childhood crush, got married, and I can now be a mother for my 5-month-old daughter. If you have a dream… HOLD ONTO IT! DON’T LET GO! You can be who you want to be even if people say otherwise. Reaching for the stars and having dreams can become a reality, but it does come with a lot of hard work and being dedicated. You are worth it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
-My father died in 2015 unexpectedly while I was a senior in high school.
-I felt like I was stuck with a man that took advantage of me and made me feel as if I was only good for one thing and that I wouldn’t go anywhere.
-I felt alone and didn’t feel like I had much support.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a cosmetologist. I do haircut, hair color, hair extensions, updos/styles, lashes, and nails. I am known for being a perfectionist and I like to do a job right or not at all. I have always wanted to be a “one-stop-shop” girl for people. I love to learn and get better with everything I do. I want to help people feel beautiful and feel pampered. I am very proud of myself for taking on a lot and having the drive to keep trying to better myself, by taking advantage of my talents and skills. By doing so I get to make people feel good about themselves and feel beautiful.

Never give up! Follow your dreams!
