Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Eisman
Hi Brianna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I attended arts magnet grade schools and quickly found a passion for the arts. As a teenager, I was nationally recognized for my artistic abilities and in college, I decided to start my own website ArtsyDrawings.com.
This platform allows me to share my art and my creative insight, but also serves as a hub for artists to grow. I sponsor, advertise, and collaborate with many artists both locally and internationally.
My website has grown tremendously along with my social following, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the support of my family, friends, and colleagues.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Entrepreneurship is never an easy road; it takes a lot of discipline and patience and tenacity.
One of my biggest challenges is preserving my self confidence. As an artist, my work is a reflection of myself: my innermost emotions and feelings. So, when I share my art with the world, I’m willingly accepting judgement, criticism and outside opinions that feel more personal.
I think this struggle is something a lot of artists face, and I want my platform to ease the pain of imposter syndrome.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a 2D artist who specializes in painting, drawing, and photography. I’m most known for stylized artwork including beautiful landscapes, blooming flowers, and nature inspired art.
I’m most proud of my website, ArtsyDrawings.com, where I share art advice for everyone interested in art, from beginners to masters. About once a month, I release a new article discussing art related topics. I’ve written about AI art, color theory, visualizing data, artist statements, personal branding, DIY crafts and many more.
What sets me apart from other bloggers is that I have first person experience in what I write about. I’ve been a dedicated artist for over 20 years with experience in many different mediums and styles. This allows me to write directly to the reader and provide my honest biased opinions. For example, I wouldn’t recommend a product if I hadn’t tried it out first in my sketchbook.
Visual art tends to be a solitary activity and one of my goals is to form a community for people interested in art. I want to share really cool artwork and spread trendy craft ideas and inspire others to attend local museums and arts markets.
What sets me apart from my competition is that I don’t see them as competition. Artists should support artists. That’s why I don’t sell my art to make money. I sell my art because I think everyone should have real art in their homes, not just mass produced prints.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I use Google suite to help plan and organize. I especially like their cloud based technology so I can work at home or on the go.
One of my favorite podcasts is Design Matters with Debbie Millman.
My favorite books are Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, Daring Greatly by Brené Brown, and On Writing by Stephen King.
