Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Hepburn. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Cassandra Hepburn was born to an English military official named Lewis and a Chinese/Philippine mother Nellie on a small island off the coast of the Philippines called Leyte Island. Very early on Cassandra traveled extensively around the world which gives her a deeper understanding of people and cultures. At an early age, Cassandra decided that acting was her life’s calling. She was only 12 years old when she made her acting debut in Stephen King’s “The Stand” which happened to be filming in Utah.

After graduating High School at 14, she was living in New York fully devoting herself to the perfection of her craft, honing her method acting skills at Sande Shurin Studios and learning the Meisner Technique at the prestigious School for Film & Television. This led to a brief stint on the popular daytime soap, “As The World Turns.” After doing a few off broadway shows and appearances on MTV’s “The Grind” & New York Undercover, Cassandra moved to Europe to broaden her personal and artistic horizons. She graced the modeling scene and worked for designers such as Sonia Rykiel while living and studying in France & Italy.  In 1999, Cassandra also spent some time at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) taking courses in Classical & Shakespearean Acting. Cassandra has worked on projects with some of Hollywood’s biggest Stars.

Was on Mark Rydell’s “Even Money” with Danny DeVito, Kim Basinger, Ray Liotta, Carla Gugino, Forest Whitaker & Nick Cannon. Cassandra’s altruistic nature & passion for justice is a beacon of inspiration to others and sets her apart from many of her acting peers. Endowed with a humanitarian spirit and a love for people, Cassandra is actively involved in many Human Rights & charitable organizations. She serves as Ambassador for Youth For Human Rights International, where she teaches the UN’s document of the 30 inalienable rights to children and young adults. Was one of the pioneers to bring awareness of Human Trafficking issues around the world including our own backyard by being the founder & chairperson of Stop Trafficking Now, a watchdog group that vigilantly opposes and champions the fight against human trafficking through awareness, education and fearlessly approaching the cause with an otherworldly determination to make a difference. In her words, “My Faith is what drives me to share the love of G-d through the cross of Jesus Christ who shed His blood for us to pay the highest price so that we can be forgiven of our sins through Him because three days after being crucified, He rose from the grave and conquered death & sin for us and is now sitting at the right hand of G-d when He ascended to be with the Father. Yet His love is so good that He brought Holy Spirit to be with us, so as to be our friend, comforter, guide, counselor, and helper!”

She not only believes in her newfound faith (which was in late 2013) but 2 weeks after receiving Jesus Christ as her L-rd & Savior, Cassandra started going on missions trips around the world sharing her testimony and spreading the good news of the gospel. She has been to many nations & tribes whether it be in the jungles of the Philippines, the mountains & rainforests of the Amazon (Panama), Haiti, Cuba, Israel, Thailand, or just around her neighborhood knocking on doors and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ which has become everyday life for her. Cassandra also is now the Executive Administrator for CMC International (Church Multiplication Coalition) a Christian non-profit organization focused on discipleship & evangelism through pastors’ networks. She also recently became the representative for No Place Left for Central & Northern California bringing training on how to share the gospel and your testimony to everyone around you.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Life was not smooth sailing for Cassandra, at fourteen and a half almost fifteen, Cassandra ran away from an abusive home to pursue a better life for herself and went to New York on her own without the knowledge of her family. As a runaway life was not easy for her and had many challenges facing her as a teenager alone in NY. But modeling became a saving grace for her after 6 weeks of being homeless on the streets of NY. One day she was in Lincoln Square starving and was standing in front of a window display of bread at a delicatessen called Orloff’s Deli. The manager of that deli came outside and gave her a blueberry muffin and a glass of water. As she sat eating the muffin the manager named Sam asked her, “So what’s your deal?”

She confided in him and told him that she was homeless and thanked him for the muffin. Then he told her to come back the next day and would have someone train her to be a waitress. So she did and started working at the deli for 2 months then a group of customers came in one day and liked her service and personality so much that one of the guys asked her to go to his restaurant in Midtown Manhattan called “Carmines” and he wanted to hire her as a hostess and promised to pay her more so she decided to take on that job. Whilst she was a hostess at this popular family-style restaurant that a lot of celebrities would haunt, a talent scout for modeling agencies in town was enamored by Ms. Hepburn and asked her if he could take photos of her and that is how her modeling career started and then her life changed.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
