Today we’d like to introduce you to Clarissa Norton.
Hi Clarissa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a domestic violence survivor and was a single mom for 17 years but now married to the man of my dreams. I am a walking testament to what’s possible when a woman decides she’s unstoppable.
My mission is simple but fierce: giving women the tools to empower themselves and the confidence to conquer the world. Whether you’re a mom, a survivor, or a woman who serves other women, I believe with everything in me that you hold immeasurable power—and I’m here to help you unleash it.
In 2021, at the age of 44, I decided to chase the dream I’d tucked away as a little girl. I started an apprenticeship to earn my Hair Designer license, diving in with everything I had. I didn’t just check boxes—I showed up for every advanced training, especially in salon marketing, determined to rise above the norm.
They told me it would take 3–5 years to build a livable clientele. I said, watch me do it in less.
Two weeks after getting licensed, I opened my own salon on November 1, 2022. My goal? Be fully booked in 10 months. The result? I crushed that goal in under six months—and in May 2023, I was named #4 hairstylist/salon in Utah’s Top 30.
The momentum didn’t stop:
1 year later, May 2024 – Ranked #3 in Davis County.
And May 2025 – Rose to #2, despite growing competition.
For perspective: the average hairstylist in the U.S. earns $35K a year. I knew I needed—and was capable of—more. So I built a thriving business and a lifestyle that supports not just financial freedom, but personal freedom too.
Today, I get to take my daughter to all her private figure skating lessons as she chases her Olympic dreams. I also get to help care for my granddaughter a few days a week. I do all of this while running a successful salon and out-earning the national average—all without commissions from other stylists. My income is 100% from my own chair.
Now, I’m on a mission to help other women do exactly what I did. Whether you’re an extension specialist ready to make 6 figures with just 3 clients a week, or you want to build a $1M chair with my Booked & Blessed course—I’ve got you.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
