Today we’d like to introduce you to Connor & Emily Lorrigan.
Hi Connor & Emily, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Personally, Em speaking, I’ve always been into old homes, design, building, and flipping houses. Connor was basically raised in Real Estate. He has Realtor on both sides of the family, his grandma, his mother. My mom was actually a Realtor as well, and I guess you could say she played a part in what brought us to where we are today. Up until 2016, I had always rented a home and I just kind of assumed that homeownership was out of reach. My mom/Realtor took the time to walk me through what I needed to do to qualify for financing—what I needed to pay off, what I felt comfortable paying, how much I could put down for earnest money, the whole gambit. It wasn’t her job to hold my hand through everything, but she did. It was almost a 6 month process from start to end. That’s the thing about Real Estate—it isn’t always easy, but it is simple. The question isn’t IF you can buy a house, but WHEN can you buy a house.
Fast forward a few years my husband and I decided to start going to our local Technical Collage to get licensed. After six months of learning everything but exactly how to do the job, we passed our tests and found what I can say with full acknowledgement of the bias, THEE best brokerage. We hung our licenses with RealtyPath CV and have been fully engulfed in the business ever since. The RealtyPath team is amazing and they’ve helped so much throughout our Real Estate journey—from education, to assisting in transactions, the brokerage really knows how to cultivate a vibe.
Short story long, our goal is to help everyone with their Real Estate needs. Whether you’re looking to buy, sell, invest, relocate—We would love to help. Specifically, our hearts do lie with first time home buyers. We are happy to be your real estate moms and hold your hand throughout the transaction. We believe everyone who wants to own a home, should have the opportunity to do so, and we love walking people through the chaos that buying a home can sometimes be. Ideally transactions go smoothly, but anyone who’s been in the business for a while can attest that the most wild things can come out of the woodworks unexpectedly.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a very unique road for us. My husband and I decided to go back to school in the Spring of 2024. By the Fall we were in full swing of our classes, both working full-time, vibing through it all. Soon after we finished our course, my dog of 13 years died unexpectedly, then after finding out that we had passed our exams, my husband lost his job. It was overwhelming and all happening very fast, while we were also trying to establish ourselves in the Real Estate industry. We were able to navigate through those hardships and still show up for our business, which has ultimately been the best decision. It wasn’t easy, and I’m sure the road ahead will have more rough times, but showing up for ourselves, doing a business that we love, and helping the community along the way is our jam.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our business is called Lorrigan Homes, we are brokered by RealtyPath Cache Valley. My husband and I work together in Real Estate—from investing personally, to helping others invest, buy, or sell their homes. We specialize in relocations and first time home buyers. I can’t tell you how often we hear “I’ll never be able to buy a house”, “I’ll never be a homeowner.” Our goal is to help all of those people, specifically, get into a home. We believe if homeownership is something you want, it’s something worth working toward, and we are happy to work toward that goal with you, and guide you through the process. No one every taught us how to do this in school, and most people just expect you to understand what’s going on—I explicitly remember being so overwhelmed by the home buying process, and I’m so grateful that I had someone there to help me navigate negotiations and deadlines. Now we want to be that person for others. We’re both most proud of our first time home buyers. It’s such a huge decision and we are so grateful to be chosen as your Realtor’s to help you navigate the market.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Our mission is to help as many people who would like to own a home, get into one. Whether it takes 8 weeks, 6 months, or a couple of years, we’re here to support our friends and community achieve their homeownership goals. We’re always happy to ask any questions. We can be reached via text or email, and we post on Instagram regularly.
