Conversations with Eddie Juarez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie Juarez.

Hi Eddie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, I’m Eddie Juárez, I was born in the city of Puebla, Mexico, and I arrived in the state of Utah in 2007. In my first years in Salt Lake City, I worked helping my father Eloy Juárez in gardening and construction. I was always very passionate about music and photography. In 2014 I took a photography course at the Utah School of the Arts, and that same year I started taking photos at music concerts in the city.

And in 2015 one of the best promoters of events in Salt Lake City (Eduardo Fernández) invited me to take pictures at all his events. Many people began to know me better thanks to my photos and in 2017 I began to get involved in music events in Spanish and asked to help many artists from Mexico to come to sing in Utah. That same year I began to collaborate in the program Every Sunday.

Jorge Rodríguez gave me the opportunity to continue helping artists so that their music is heard on the radio, thanks to all this in 2020 one of the best publicists from Los Angeles invited me to interview the artists nominated for this year’s Latin Grammys. I am currently a columnist for La Bala Magazine and I continue to collaborate on the Radio Program Every Sunday and help everyone who comes to me

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a learning process, I have learned a lot from people like Eduardo Fernández, Jorge Rodríguez, and Dustin Esson, they motivate me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a promoter of musical events, I am also a photojournalist for La Bala magazine and I collaborate on the radio interviewing artists.

What matters most to you?
From the beginning, the most important thing for me was to be in a position where I could help others, and thanks to life over the years I have been able to help my Latin people to be heard here in Utah.
