Today we’d like to introduce you to ErynLeigh Orgill.
Hi ErynLeigh, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Touch has always been one of my primary love languages, and I’ve worked with my hands for as long as I can remember. As a teenager, my friends and I would buy massage books and practice on one another, long before I ever imagined it becoming a profession.
I initially set out on a very different path—pre-med, with plans to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. About halfway through that journey, it became clear that both the timing and the philosophy were misaligned. I realized I related to the body and healing in a more holistic, preventative, and relational way than the conventional medical model allowed. Stepping away from that path opened the door to something that felt far more true.
I began working at an herb shop under the guidance of a dear friend steeped in plant medicine and holistic health. A regular there—who happened to be a massage therapist—encouraged me to receive my first massage. At the end of the session, after working extensively with my climber-worn hands and arms, he told me, “You have healing energy in your hands. You should go to massage school.” That simple reflection changed everything.
I graduated from massage school in 2015 and began practicing full time in 2020. From the beginning, the work felt natural and deeply familiar—the smoothest and most aligned entrepreneurial path I’ve ever taken. Over time, my practice has expanded to meet my clients more fully, weaving together myofascial work, nervous system awareness, and a root-based, whole-body approach to healing.
I’m continually learning, refining, and deepening my craft, while also maintaining a strong referral network of trusted practitioners—from physical therapists and chiropractors to acupuncturists, trainers, and talk therapists—so clients are supported beyond what I alone can offer.
I hold this work with great care and responsibility. The trust my clients place in me is a sacred honor, one I never take lightly. Supporting people in coming home to their bodies, with safety and respect, is both my calling and my devotion.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most meaningful paths, mine hasn’t been without its challenges—especially early on. The biggest obstacle was becoming licensed. I wasn’t eligible for loans or grants, so I paid the full cost of schooling—about $15,000—out of pocket. Until that balance was paid in full, my transcripts couldn’t be released for licensure, which created a long and layered road forward.
During those years, I worked multiple jobs to support myself and my education—serving and bartending, while also working in logistics as an account coordinator, managing complex scheduling and problem-solving across multi-stop, multi-temperature freight loads. It was demanding work, but it taught me discipline, adaptability, and perseverance.
In late 2019, I was finally able to pay off my schooling, complete my national board exam, and move forward with licensure. Beginning my bodywork practice in 2020 felt like a deep exhale—equal parts relief, excitement, and gratitude.
Since then, building clientele has felt natural and organic. I was initially carried by my community and professional network, and over time word-of-mouth became the foundation of my practice. Today, it’s a beautiful blend of both, allowing me to work with long-standing clients while continually welcoming new ones.
This work has been an incredible gift. From the very beginning through where I am now, the journey has shaped me just as much as I’ve supported others—cultivating resilience, trust, and a deep appreciation for the slow, steady unfolding of a life in service.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is rooted in whole-body, root-cause healing, with a strong emphasis on the nervous system. I approach the body as an interconnected ecosystem rather than a collection of isolated symptoms.
Physically, my sessions blend structural and therapeutic modalities—deep tissue and myofascial work, structural integration principles, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, cupping, and scraping. Subtly, I weave in nervous system tracking, breathwork, sound therapy, and energy-based practices such as Reiki and shamanic work, always guided by what the body is asking for in the moment.
What truly sets my work apart is the depth at which it operates—physically, emotionally, mentally, and energetically. Sessions often move beyond symptom relief into pattern recognition and dissolution. I support clients in understanding how their bodies communicate through tension, pain, and sensation, and how those signals relate to lifestyle, stress, movement, and lived experience.
I also guide clients in integration beyond the table—through mobility and strength practices, holistic lifestyle shifts, and resources that help them continue their healing between sessions. The work can be raw and deeply human, held within a container of safety, consent, and respect.
What I’m most proud of is the level of presence and compassion I bring to each person I work with. That presence creates the conditions for deep opening and meaningful change. I’m equally proud of remaining a lifelong student—continually learning, refining my craft, and building a trusted network of practitioners so clients are supported even when their needs fall outside my scope.
At its core, my work is about listening—deeply—to the body, the nervous system, and the person as a whole.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t tend to view my life or business through the lens of “bad luck.” The moments that brought tension, delay, or difficulty have consistently revealed themselves as growth points—experiences that shaped my capacity to hold space with depth, steadiness, and compassion. In that sense, nothing felt wasted or accidental.
There has certainly been what many might call “good luck,” especially in how aligned and easeful my work has felt as it’s unfolded. But I don’t experience that as randomness. I see it as the result of listening closely and acting when guided—often before I fully understand why a particular step feels right.
To me, it’s less about luck and more about trust: learning to follow what’s being asked of me, meeting each phase with presence, and allowing the path to reveal itself through action rather than force.
