Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Hammond.
Hi Jordan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Last year, I started my company with just a little 3D printer and a big dream of selling fun little animals and dragons. Things were tough in the beginning—it was just me, figuring everything out on my own. Prints took hours, sometimes days, to complete. I ran into all kinds of issues, from bed leveling problems to simply learning how the machine worked.
Back then, my business was called Snowball3DPrints. I sold only online and through word of mouth. But after realizing how difficult it was to gain traction that way, I started exploring new options—streaming on TikTok, running giveaways during my lives, and eventually selling at farmers markets.
In the fall of last year, I had a booth almost every week at the Daybreak Market. Before I knew it, my sales started to take off. I expanded my inventory, gave my brand a fresh look, and introduced new products. But despite the growth and all the money I invested, very little profit started coming back. That’s common for businesses like mine in the early stages—lots of hard work, constant changes, and innovation, but the returns don’t come as quickly as you’d hope.
As a person of faith, I began to worry and pray for help—something to lift me and my company to the next level. I was newly married, had a baby boy, and needed to find more sustainable ways to bring in income.
Then, this spring, my brother reached out. He saw potential in what I was building and offered to invest in my company. I accepted. Together, we rebranded to Printlings LLC, improved our product line, and introduced better color options for our prints.
After networking, signing up for more markets, and showcasing our work, things started to click. We now sell in a local game store called Game Craft in Eagle Mountain, attend farmers markets weekly, and have built a solid following on social media.
Thanks to the help I received, my company has grown bigger and better than I ever imagined.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When I started, I didn’t take out any loans—I had to invest my own money into everything. It was also really difficult to make sales. Most of them came through word of mouth, and very little resulted from social media posts or networking. Not to mention I had never owned a business before or knew how one worked so I had to learn as I went.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So my business is not my main job I work for canyon view credit union as a teller for right now. That brings in the main income. Very different then what I do for the business but it helps me understand the concept of money keeping and spending better.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
As the future goes I hope that it thrives and grows. Our plan is to do so well we get more printers then the 4 we have now, buying a ware house and being more then just a city wide company. I would like us to be in that position in 5 years, with our income and assets being in the 50,000 range.
