Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Dixon
Hi Nikki , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Eternall Radio isn’t just about the sound that comes through the airwaves—it’s about the impact it makes in people’s lives. And it started with my own.
I know what it’s like to be injured, to be challenged, to have something taken from you that you thought would last a lifetime. In my case, it was part of my vision. Losing sight in my right eye forced me to see life differently—not just physically, but spiritually. It made me confront what truly lasts.
I could have let my trauma define me, but instead, I chose to turn it into triumph. I refused to let loss be the end of my story. That’s why Eternall Radio became more than a station; it became a saving grace. A place where people could find hope when they feel hopeless, a place to remind us that no matter what we face, there is purpose in our pain and power in our faith.
Each of us carries a sound within us—a purpose, a message—that, when shared, creates waves of impact. My journey has been about using my story to draw people in, to expand perspectives, and to encourage faith. I didn’t just want to create a radio station; I wanted to create a movement—one that reminds us that life isn’t just about what we hear, but about what we do with what we’ve been given.
Because in the end, it’s not about the sound from the airwaves. It’s about the sound of life when you make waves. And that’s why I’m here today, building something that lasts beyond the moment—something eternal.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to Eternall Radio has been anything but smooth, but I believe that’s what makes the journey so powerful. This station wasn’t born out of ease—it was born out of struggle, faith, and the determination to turn pain into purpose.
Losing sight in my right eye was more than just a physical injury; it was an emotional and spiritual battle. I had to grieve what I lost, navigate life with a new perspective, and fight through moments where the weight of it all felt unbearable. There were days when I questioned how I would move forward, when the frustration of adapting to a new reality felt overwhelming. But in those moments of struggle, I found something deeper—hope.
Eternall Radio became a reflection of that journey. Starting a radio station, especially one built on faith and impact, came with its own challenges—finding the right support, navigating setbacks, and staying true to the vision when obstacles arose. But every challenge was a reminder that this mission was bigger than me. It wasn’t just about creating something that sounded good; it was about creating something that changed lives.
The struggles weren’t just roadblocks; they were stepping stones. They shaped me, refined my purpose, and gave me the strength to build a platform that helps others find hope when they feel hopeless. And that’s why I keep going—because the hardest roads often lead to the greatest impact.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My journey in radio didn’t start with Eternall Radio—it started years before when I founded my first station in Chicago, an independent artist radio platform where we didn’t just play music; we built careers. We managed artists, produced music, and created a space for independent voices to be heard. That experience gave me a deep understanding of not just the industry, but the power of radio to shape lives.
Eternall Radio, my second station, was born from a different kind of passion—one deeply personal. After experiencing a traumatic injury that left me blind in my right eye, I had a choice: let that loss define me or turn it into something greater. I chose the latter. Eternall Radio is more than a station; it’s a movement. It’s about impact, faith, and the idea that even in our hardest moments, we can find purpose. It’s not just about the sound from the airwaves—it’s about the sound of life when we make waves.
Beyond radio, I’m also a social media influencer, using my platform to share faith, resilience, and the journey of overcoming adversity. I specialize in connecting with people—whether it’s through media, storytelling, or simply leading by example. What sets me apart is that I don’t just talk about overcoming; I live it. My work isn’t just about broadcasting—it’s about transformation.
I’m most proud of the lives I’ve touched, the stories I’ve helped tell, and the community Eternall Radio is building. Whether it was through my first station, managing artists, or now creating a space for faith-driven impact, my goal has always been the same—to give people a voice, to inspire hope, and to remind others that their story isn’t over. It’s just beginning.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that your journey won’t always look the way you planned—but that doesn’t mean it’s not leading you exactly where you need to be. When I started in radio, I was focused on building a platform for independent artists, and we did that in a big way. But I never could have predicted that years later, I’d be launching a second station from a place of personal transformation, using my own story to inspire others.
For anyone just starting out—whether in business, media, or life—my advice is this: build with purpose, not just ambition. Success isn’t just about what you create; it’s about the impact you make. Surround yourself with people who believe in your vision but are also willing to challenge and refine it. Be willing to pivot, to grow, and to embrace the unexpected.
One thing I wish I knew when I started? That the obstacles aren’t there to stop you; they’re there to shape you. Every setback, every challenge, every time I questioned if I could keep going—it was all preparing me for something greater. If I had let fear, doubt, or difficulty define me, Eternall Radio wouldn’t exist. My injury wouldn’t have turned into a testimony. And I wouldn’t be here, using my voice to help others find theirs.
So, if you’re just starting out, trust the process. Your path might not be easy, but if you stay rooted in your purpose and keep pushing forward, it will be worth it. The impact you make will last far beyond the moment—it will be something eternal.
