Hi Saniya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My love for henna tattoos began when i was 12 years old in my city Hyderabad’s Old City in India, where I grew up looking at my grandmother and older sister making intricate, beautiful designs. I would try to imitate them with whatever materials I had, and my sister supported me in honing this skill. Back then, I never imagined my hobby could turn into something big. Life was challenging, and turning this passion into a reality felt like a distant dream.
Everything changed when my husband saw me doing henna in some family gatherings. He saw potential in my art that I have not recognized. He encouraged me, motivated me, and supported me, urging me to take a leap and share my talent with the world. With his backing, I started taking on small events i still remember my first event which was in school and i didn’t charge them anything coz i was just willing to share the form of art, and gradually, my art began to reach a wider audience, building my confidence little by little.
As time passed so fast, word spread, and I found myself doing more than just casual events. I started offering henna designs to cancer fighters, creating intricate head crowns to help them feel beautiful and empowered. I also began doing belly art for expectant mothers, making their baby showers even more special with personalized designs. and brides on their special day.
Looking back, I can’t believe how far we come. I was been invited to corporate events, school functions, and city fairs. We are now recognized artists in Draper City, Sandy City, the University of Utah, the Utah Division of Arts, and the Moab Arts Division. What started as a small endeavor has grown into a team of four dedicated artists, all working together to make each event and celebration something special. hoping to continue spreading happiness with each stroke of henna we see that excitement on those faces that is a fuel for us.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was definitely not been a smooth journey. alot of challenges arose, especially in the beginning it was not so easy . Turning a passion into a business is never easy, and I struggled with a lot of self-doubt. I did not have many opportunities to develop my art, so the idea of putting myself out there felt overwhelming and stressful.
also Financially, it was a struggle as well. There were times when I use to question whether I was doing the right thing. Balancing work and home life was tough, especially with kids, and finding events to showcase my work didn’t happen overnight. There were days when I felt stopping , wondering if all the effort was worth it.
My husband helped me in many ways, but it was hard for him too, as he was juggling a full-time job while supporting my dreams cas i was not driving back then and he had to drive me and take care of kids and manage family responsibilities. He also creates fragrances, so we were both working hard to build our respective passions, which added to our challenges a lot.
Even when things started to pick up managing everything on my own was exhausting as this was a new country for us and rules and regulations was different. I’m so grateful for his support, but every step came with its challenges, and grate learning how to price my work fairly to dealing with rejections and canceled events.
Despite all this, we kept pushing forward because of my love for henna and the joy it brings to others. Looking back every struggle made us stronger and brought us to where we are today.

Im specialize in creating various intricate henna body art, blending both traditional designs with modern designs so it appeal to a diverse range of clients. My work includes the beautiful Bridal Henna for Weddings, various designs for festivals and events, personalized henna crowns for cancer survivors and artistic belly art for expectant mothers.
What makes me feel most proud of is the joy my art brings to people. It is incredibly fulfilling to see someone light up when they look at their henna knowing that I have contributed to their special moments,. I take great pride in using natural high-quality henna ensuring that my clients enjoy both stunning designs and a safe experience at the same time .
What makes me apart from others i would say is my commitment to create meaningful connections through my art. I believe that henna is more than just decoration as it carries cultural significance and emotional weight. as i try to understand each clients story and add elements to the design that resonates with them, making each art truly unique.
Additionally, my journey from hobby to artist , along with my growing team of talented henna artists, helps us to serve multiple events seamlessly at once. This collaboration and dedication of my team makes spreading the joy of henna art truly simple and sweet .
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
it makes me happy to see the smiles on our clients faces when they admire their henna Art . There is something priceless reward about creating art that brings joy and confidence in others. Whether it’s a Bride with excitement on her special day or a mother-to-be creating a moment as I do henna on her belly, these reactions remind me of why I started this journey in the beginning.
this is joy and the creative process itself as we get to experiment with new designs and techniques, and we learn continuously from experiences and the art form. Additionally, working with my husband and our small team of artists brings me happiness, and im grateful to God for all this. Sharing this journey with people who share my passion and dedication makes the challenges feel worthwhile.
