Daily Inspiration: Meet Alejandra Ubaldo

Today we want to introduce Alejandra Ubaldo.

Alejandra, we appreciate you taking the time to share her story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi, I’m Alejandra, I’m Peruvian and since 2019 I’ve been living in Utah.

I am a mother of a young child and a wife. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and that is why Utah is a special place for us, a place with a lot of history where we choose to live with my family.

This is my story.

From a very young age I liked fashion, organization and decoration.

I had a lot of fun helping my mom with the organization of the house and designing clothes for myself in my free time. I managed to make many garments and everything was done based on my calculations because I had never studied design or tailoring, but it was the love of art that prompted me to touch those needles and threads of my grandmother’s sewing machine.

My taste for decoration and architecture grew every year and when I finished school, I decided to study Interior Architecture, a beautiful career with which I worked continuously when I was single and also in my first years of marriage. I have worked on projects for schools, offices, houses and commercial spaces doing interior remodeling and decoration, which is my passion.

When I had my first child, I decided to dedicate some time to motherhood and enjoy parenting, it was always a very important point in my life, so for a few years I dedicated myself full time to my son.

Social networks have been a very encouraging support in my life as a mother, being able to share my stages, challenges and experiences with other women helped me see that we are a great community of encouragement and support.

It was that experience that inspired me to open my first public account on Instagram as @andraubgo to be able to share my lifestyle, my outfits, decoration tips and my life as a mother. My desire is to inspire and uplift the women who are part of my community, encouraging them to know and bring out the best version of themselves in everything they do.

I feel like after the chaotic first few days of being a mom for the first time, everything has been making more sense year after year. Now I am in the stage of enjoying, learning and sharing. I feel happy to work with what I enjoy doing and to be able to resume my working life without neglecting my son and family.

I am grateful to God because throughout my years I have been able to fulfill many dreams and goals.

I can say that everything can be achieved if one decrees and dreams in life!! Before, nobody told you about the power of the mind, the power of words, I was a girl who decreed, insistently pursued her dreams until she achieved from the simplest to the most difficult.

I have more dreams to achieve and goals to fulfill and I have great faith that I will fulfill each one of them.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story: has it been an easy road overall? If not, what were the challenges you had to overcome?
On the way to achieving my goals, I had high moments full of enjoyment and harvest of efforts , but I also had moments of discouragement trying to squash what I was achieving.

Especially now with the blog that I have on Instagram, the statistics of likes and followers can exert pressure, but personally I like to enjoy the content that I share before thinking if the publication will have many likes or comments.

I like this phrase: “You know you’re on the road to success if you want to do your job, and not get paid for it.” – Oprah Winfrey. I feel happy and grateful to the companies and brands that are trusting in my work and for the opportunities I am receiving.

Thanks, so what else should our readers know about your work and what are you currently focused on?
I love photography and design, I currently create written and audiovisual content for different brands and companies. Content about fashion and style, decoration and beauty products.

We all have a different way of seeing and defining success. How do you define success?
Success for me is reaching the top that I set for myself, not the top that society has set for women my age.

I feel successful overcoming my fears and fears that allow me to take steps to achieve my dreams.

Success is a personal achievement, there is no rule or measure that says who is more successful than another because our standards of success have different perspectives and priorities.
