Daily Inspiration: Meet Autumn Price and Venice Scorzato

Today we’d like to introduce you to Autumn Price and Venice Scorzato

Hi Autumn and Venice, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Our names are Autumn Price and Venice Scorzato. As best friends do, we always pondered the idea of starting a podcast, until we brought that idea to life, making Femme Fiasco Podcast our new creative reality. We host a comedy podcast in Salt Lake City, Utah, but we are more than just cohosts. Venice, the blonde, and Autumn, the brunette, started simply as best friends making their way through Catholic school, as young teenage girls, and are now navigating life together as young adults, following their dreams of becoming comedic entertainers.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to starting a podcast and building Femme Fiasco into a brand has been nothing like we had envisioned. Being able to showcase our authentic personalities and our take on a comedy podcast, through the camera, became something we quickly realized wasn’t as effortless as others have made it seem. We have had to acclimate to the camera, and learn to not be afraid of the struggles that it takes to do comedy on a professional level. Being comfortable with yourself while recording, in all aspects, became the first thing necessary for us to do, in order to break into the space of comedy and entertainment.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The two of us are known for our humor and the spin we take on pop culture, in the media, through the Femme Fiasco Podcast. Collectively, we are the most proud of creating a space where not only we feel safe to express our sense of humor in an inclusive manner, but to have an audience that we are continuously building that loves and understands our point of view. Our uniqueness sets us apart in many ways, in one of the ways being that we provide a diverse perspective on various scenarios that we discuss on the podcast. When it comes to diving into different topics on Femme Fiasco, we like to bring a traditional sense of humor to the space, along with a flare of our twist on comedy.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
When it comes to Salt Lake City, we are both grateful that it is slowly becoming a more inclusive place that is warm and welcoming to those that don’t necessarily fit the cookie cutter standards of Utah “tradition.” We hope to see continuous progress and action towards making all those of Utah, especially the youth, feel allowed to be more comfortable in their own skin, along with who they truly are as individuals.
