Daily Inspiration: Meet Cara Fox

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cara Fox.

Cara, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Design was always a shared passion of mine and Tom’s. We started with our own home 18 years ago and once friends and family saw the unique style of New England (back east flair). Many of them asked us to do their homes. We got so busy we decided to do it full-time. The Fox Group has grown into an Architecture, Interior Design and Construction firm with 35 employees including several licensed architects and designers. We do work all over the world now including London and a lot of projects back east but still love doing most our work in Utah locally.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Lots of learning along the way! Learning to work together as a couple as well. It’s been so rewarding and we learn more with each project that we do! In construction, there is a saying in construction that what can go wrong will go wrong and you have to learn to evolve with each project. Each home has its way of coming together but takes a lot of changing along the way to do what is best for the home.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love designing children’s rooms! The whimsical and imaginative possibilities are endless! Mixing colors in unexpected ways as well as patterns are so fun!

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Trust in yourself! Even if no one can see your vision but you, still go with it!
