Daily Inspiration: Meet Gina Trimmer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Trimmer.

Gina Trimmer

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The turning point for us was the recession. My husband and I were doing very well in a construction business until 2010 when we finally lost everything. Home, cars, truck, motorcycle, 4 wheeler, and $650k+ in business debt. We couldn’t file bankruptcy either because our loans were secured with my in-laws property. We moved into grandparent’s basement, pregnant with our first son. We decided that the life that we were living of working 9-5+ and desperately trying to keep up with the Jones’ was not how we ever wanted to live again. So we worked for the next 6 years living on an extremely tight budget, Rick kept our construction company running with 1 other employee and I worked as an emergency dispatcher for Washington County. Everything that we lived on and saved was from my paycheck as a dispatcher. After a couple years of stashing away our cash and doing some different and very random investments we were able to turn 1 vacation rental in St George by 2016 into 8.
In March of 2017 we continued with our goals of never being slaves to a boss or a 9-5, we “retired” at 36 and 34 and left with our 2 little boys {5 and 2 at the time} with one-way tickets to Paris. We’ve spent the next 8 years {minus covid} traveling the world together as a family, visiting over 65 countries.
In July of 2022, I was approached by the owner of a very successful men’s community and podcast, Order of Man, to create and start the women’s version. At this time I had be searching for my own more purpose-driven path that derived from the delivery of my 3rd son in 2020. 18+ hours of hard labor into an emergency c-section and the added fun of postpartum depression led me to questions like: “who am I” “what’s my purpose” “who do I want to be” and so by the time Ryan reached out to me about starting this women’s community I had already been on my own growth journey and was completely prepared to create it.
Revitalized Womanhood was born in July, the podcast kicked off in August and my private women’s empowerment community, the Revitalized Sisterhood opened October 1, 2022.
I have been proudly running this business, hosting the podcast and serving as a coach in the community for over 2 years, all the while traveling with my family locally and internationally, supporting my husband of 18 years that has just created and launched his 14th business, and momming my 3 boys {baby girl coming soon, due Jan 2025}.
It has been the absolute best kind of adventure!! I look back on losing everything and I think, “what an incredible blessing that was for us.” Who knows where we would be today if we hadn’t learned and grown from all of the hard life lessons.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Heavens no! Obviously the biggest struggle was losing everything in the recession. But also being 1/2 of a marriage between two very strong minded people has had its own struggles. Marriage is hard and it would definitely be easier to just give up rather than stay and fight, but we choose to fight. Sometimes that’s really difficult especially when you’re constantly in a different country from anyone else you know 🤣 There have also been some very interesting, fun to tell now, but not so funny when they were happening, travel stories.
And last, but not least. Starting a new business. All by myself in an industry that I had no experience or knowledge in like podcasting… I didn’t even know what a podcast was, let alone create one. And growing a community in a niche hat is known for alwsys putting themselves last.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an empowerment coach for women who prioritize family. Family centric women are known for being overscheduled, anxious, overtired, overworked, overwhelmed, under-appreciated and under-valued. These women who give literally all of themselves to others and left with health problems, are emotionally drained and suffer from low self-confidence and zero self-worth. I’ve created a community to empower them to battle these things. To see themselves as deserving of having their needs met. Using tools such as 90-day goal setting and coaching strategies to empower women to create happier, purpose-driven lives.
I feel like I can see the potential in every woman and I am the hype-girl that helps them see it in themselves.
I call it my magic mirror. I show them the woman that I see in them until they see it themselves.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
We had come home from traveling in Dec 2019 to get pregnant and then covid hit and we were suddenly stuck. I think being in lock down and having a scary delivery during that time all played a roll in my postpartum depression and my loss of self. It was my moment of midlife crisis for me for sure. I had to figure out who I was and who I wanted to become.
