Daily Inspiration: Meet Griff Neilson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Griff Neilson.

Hi Griff, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out as an independent Personal Trainer working as a contractor at Gold’s Gym. In 2007 I opened my first brick and mortar gym as an exclusive Personal Training Gym. My intention in doing so was to offer local people an option to get into the best shape of their lives using a lifestyle based approach. I served as an executive wellness coach for a decade, wrote and published a book and am now getting into online coaching.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Certainly not a smooth road. As an independent gym, I have had to fight through the real-estate crash of 08/09, covid and other factors such as GLP-1’s, the rise of AI and fierce competition.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In a fitness industry that has been “cookie cuttered” out. we never promise quick fixes, or promote weight loss at the expense of human health. We are fiercely loyal to the principles of psychology and physiology, and we use those principles in the implementation of our client’s unique programs. We use our own unique coaching system called the “5 Power Pillars”, in which we address the subconscious mind which is dominant in human behavior.

We offer a truly unique approach that you cannot find in the fitness industry…anywhere.

How do you define success?
I used to define success monetarily like everybody else. Not anymore. I define success through learning the lessons that life (God, Universe, higher power etc.) is trying to teach me. I personally believe that the worlds definition of success is myopic and limited.
