Today we’d like to introduce you to Khrystalle Weathers.
Khrystalle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story began in 2016 when I started working as an intern for the luxury wedding planner, Rachael Ellen Events. At this time, I was finishing up my degree in Event & Experience Management while also working as an Event Specialist in the entrepreneurship realm. After a few years of learning from Rachael, I started getting asked by friends and family members to plan their weddings. This was the very start of Wheat & Weather Creative Design Co. As my wedding portfolio grew, I quickly realized that I loved weddings for reasons far more important than beautiful decor and age-old traditions. I fell in love with the meaningful connections between my couples. I became obsessed with cultivating experiences that made their unique relationship the main driving force behind every decision. Many of my couples were just so wildly in love and it was intoxicating in the best way. One of the most common struggles that I noticed with potential clients was the cost of hiring a wedding planner. I hated that money could get in the way of couples having the tools necessary to plan their perfect day. This, coupled with my belief that the wedding planning process is an amazing opportunity to set the tone for a relationship rooted in mutual growth, communication, and problem-solving skills led to the creation of my signature You & Me Intentionally Wedding Planning Kit. The kit has now evolved into a full-blown online relationship shop.
While I was working to build my wedding planning business, I met the man that I said yes to forever with. Just like so many others, I had been guilty of letting past heartbreaks and relationship trauma lead me to believe that marriage and relationships were a complete sham. Through my marriage, I learned how beautiful and healing it can be when you trust someone enough to allow them to help you tackle your deepest fears and work through your emotional trauma. Throughout this period of time, I was being asked to help guide a number of friends through their own relationship challenges. This eventually evolved into the relationship coaching side of my business. While my own marriage did not survive infidelity, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to better understand the full spectrum of relationship challenges and to further develop my understanding of the human experience. So much of my motivation now stems from a deep desire to help others avoid the heartbreak of divorce, while also learning to heal so that they are able to become the best versions of themselves.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! COVID has drastically complicated the wedding industry in so many ways. Vendors are extremely booked out and the amount of work required to plan and replan a wedding multiple times is unreal. Additionally, the excitement that normally accompanies planning a wedding has definitely been tainted with exhaustion for many couples. When it comes to my relationship coaching, I am actually in the middle of an unexpected divorce, which has completely rocked my world. Initially, I deeply questioned my qualifications to be working with other couples, but at the end of the day, I’ve been able to focus on the lessons learned and opportunities for growth. In a weird way, it’s almost as if the past 10 years of working on myself were preparing me for this exact experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share all that I’ve learned with other couples in an effort to help them avoid the gut-wrenching heartbreak and difficulty of divorce. For those who find themselves in a situation similar to mine, my goal is to help them be able to walk away knowing that they put forth 110% effort and to have zero regrets. I want to provide them with the support and guidance needed to embark on the wild journey of rebuilding and evolving into a better version of themself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
When it comes to wedding planning, what sets me apart is my deep desire to create a wedding that is unique to each couples’ individual love story. I don’t believe in letting tradition or industry standards drive decisions for an event that is meant to celebrate the love and connection that is so special to that couple. I want to help my clients capitalize on the wedding planning process to build a stronger and more authentic relationship with their partner. I’m so proud to be able to provide this same opportunity to any couple regardless of their budget or location through my wedding planning kit.
In regards to relationship coaching, I am known for my ability to empathize and to see things from a variety of different perspectives. I have dedicated 10+ years of my life to growing and healing from my own life experiences. Through this, I’ve learned how to connect a variety of modalities and scientific explanations that have benefitted me in order to teach others. This allows me to specialize in guiding and coaching couples through the countless challenges that relationships force us to navigate. Additionally, I deeply value honesty and transparency. So much of marriage’s challenges are viewed as somewhat taboo, which leaves everyone feeling alone and ashamed of whatever they might be going through. I feel that part of my mission is to help destigmatize the fact that relationships entail hard work, brutal honesty, and often require us to face less-than-flattering realities about ourselves. However, if you have two people that are willing to commit and put in the work, the result can be overwhelmingly beautiful and so incredibly full of joy.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
