Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Startz.
Kyle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got into an argument with a friend of mine about whether YouTube or Instagram was the way to go to make an influencer out of yourself.
My idea was to put all my efforts into YouTube and his idea was that Instagram was quicker and easier. I decided to prove him wrong by putting a lot of effort into Instagram and found that my efforts paid off and that he was correct!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. The effort at first was paying off… a lot! Algorithm changes prove to be a curveball though, and if you are not keeping up with the changes it is hard to keep up the success. I found that my love of taking photographs and creating was enough to keep me going!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a full-time employee of Pacificorp as a power plant electrician, but my passions are the outdoors, and content creation. I find that the two merge well! My dream is to create full-time to the level of providing meaningful content to people while still being able to provide for my family.
What matters most to you?
As someone who believes in God and has put my faith in Christ, what matters to me the most is pleasing Him. Whether that is a one-off conversation with a stranger, or creating some meaningful content that reaches the masses, doesn’t matter.
I believe we have all been given gifts that we should use to make this world a better place. I’m trying to figure out what my gifts are by following my passions!
