Today we’d like to introduce you to Lance Hill.
Hi Lance, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My crazy life has had a lot happen in it.
I have done my best to keep everything to talking points to keep this as short as possible.
Early Life and First Hustles
I had a rough childhood. I came from a broken home and was bullied a lot in elementary school, so I grew up very angry.
My first hustle was raking leaves and pushing snow for the neighbors. Then, in sixth grade, I started buying bulk candy to sell at school.
My teenage years through most of my twenties involved a lot of trouble with the law, but the hustle persisted.
Turning Point (2000–2004)
The years from 2000 to 2004 changed me from the inside out. At the end of that period I found true happiness while homeless for the second time.
My ambition shifted from self-serving to a service for others.
Early Business Attempt and Shift in Priorities
My first unsuccessful business was registered in 2006 under the name Better World Campaign. I quickly learned that you can’t pour from an empty cup. Priorities changed; family and home became number one.
2009 was the last time I got in trouble with the law. I successfully terminated probation in 2012.
Building Custom Vapor Blends
I quit smoking cigarettes with the help of vaping in 2012. I saw its appeal and how rapidly it was helping others do the same. I ran the numbers and prepared an investment proposal, but it failed everywhere I took it.
At the time I was working in fast food as a second-shift manager. With my wife and two young children living in a trailer park, even with two incomes we still needed state assistance to eat.
That October (2012) I received a $400 bonus check. With the bills already covered for the month, I put the entire amount into ingredients and began mixing e-liquids.
I registered Custom Vapor Blends in January 2013. Four months after starting to mix, I left the job to pursue the venture full time. Within a month I secured the first retailer. The following month brought a small distributor, and three months after that a large-scale distributor that placed white-label orders.
We averaged more than 50,000 bottles a month for the next three years.
In 2016 the FDA became involved and the white-label contracts ended.
In 2017 we took over a failed vape store and turned it into one of the top-performing stores in the state. We recorded zero sales to minors and maintained a 4.9-star Google rating throughout my ownership. Opening costs were paid off in under a year.
In 2024 Utah passed a law banning flavored vapes. We challenged it in court, but the judge ruled against us in April 2025.
I lost 95 percent of my income while still under contracts for retail space, manufacturing, warehousing, and office facilities. My wife was a stay-at-home mother, so the entire household depended on that income. The loss was crushing. I had built something from nothing, and it was being taken away.
In late 2025 I sold the store for roughly one-tenth of its pre-law value. The proceeds did not come close to clearing the debt. The new owners converted it to a traditional smoke shop. I also lost the lab, warehouse, and office space, and shifted to working from home.
Parallel Wellness Path
I began martial arts at age 9. At 14 I started helping my mother study for her psychology tests. Philosophy entered my life at 15, and the energy side of martial arts at 20.
I was humbled in 2004. In 2006 I woke up to my intuition and developed profound energy control. In 2009 I began rebuilding a broken body through nutrition.
I started making wellness products and founded Beneficial Beginnings in 2016. In 2023 I began formulating supplements and pressing them into capsules. I acquired Rife frequency generators in 2024 and a bioresonance testing machine with certification in 2025. In 2026 I completed classes and certification for Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique.
Current Foundation
I found a path from hate and fear to love and service, from struggle to success, and from pain to wellbeing.
This work is the foundation of what I am launching now: Beneficial Beginnings for remote and in-home spiritual coaching and holistic modalities, alongside Apothecary Moon, the natural skincare line my wife developed.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
sleep first. more than once it was the equivalent of working two full time jobs.
no coach or mentor, I had to learned how everything worked on my own.
no team to start, I did everything and had to learn how to do most of it. I was the boss and the janitor, the graphic designer and web designer, accounting, inventory management, sourcing supplies, formulating, quality control, payroll, all of the licenses, certifications, insurances, etc.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a hustler and a healer.
I specialize in creative work, marketing, production management, problem solving, and most importantly helping people heal.
I am known for profound love, being of service to others, wisdom and coaching through difficulties.
I am most proud of my ability to adapt and my connection to spirit.
My love and genuine care for other’s wellbeing is what truly sets me apart.

I could write a small novel on any of the talking points given in the Story section. There was a lot of pain with little victory.

Also, we aren’t necessarily the happy ending either. We are still struggling but trying to launch the new stuff at the same time.
