

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Snow
Hi Nicole, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My passion for movement started when I was a child. I started dancing at the of 14 and fell in love with it. I was a student at American Dance Academy and later I made the dance company team at West Jordan High School. I later moved away from dance to continue my education at Utah State University but my passion for movement only grew stronger. I enjoyed staying active in nature and the gym and tried out all different types of workouts. I realized that staying active for my physical and mental health was vital to feeling my best and I really connected with the kind of movement that Yoga and pilates provided. I was always very entreprenueral growing up and knew that I wanted to create something of my own and I loved the idea of creating a community of like minded people in the fitness and wellness space. I loved the platform YouTube provides because it’s available to everyone, it makes movement easy for anyone to access so they can find their own path to their own health and wellness.
I called it Aligned Fit because I believe that if you follow your bliss you will get the most benefit in your own life. The fitness industry is so loud with all of the noise surrounding what “type” of workout will get you the best results but if you don’t love what your doing no form of movement will serve you in the long run. Consistency is the key to seeing and feeling true results and I want to give everyone the freedom to move in a way that serves them best. Your health and wellbeing journey should be enjoyable so follow the kind of movement that inspires YOU, not just what’s popular.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all but my own beliefs are what got in the way and I do believe it could have been much easier. Self belief is so important whenever you go for something on your own and I really struggled with that. Putting yourself online opens you up to everyone’s opinions, so having a strong faith in yourself is required.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I teach Yoga and Pilates inspired workouts on YouTube. I hope to inspire people to want to move, to cultivate a mind and body connection that isnt just about their physical appearance but inner transformations that then manifest into physical form. Everything is a mental game first. Movement is my therapy and I want to help show others how it can heal them as well.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
The best mentor you will ever find is the one within yourself. If you do choose to work with someone make sure they are not just telling you what to do but inspiring you to find your own path. Follow people who are positive and uplifting. Follow what FEELS good and always follow your bliss.
